Today Sahyadri is proud to answer all their questions and apprehensions with the visit of 150 companies and over 400 students being placed.
He advised the students to work with commitment and dedication for a minimum of 2-3 years in their chosen companies and be brand ambassadors of Sahyadri. He reminiscenced that Infosys was the first company to recruit the first batch of students and thanked Infosys for being a strong support throughout. He advised the students to keep away from the stress of worldly materialistic wealth and to concentrate on their work which is in their hands. He asked them to keep their mind filled with positive attitude, love, happiness and warm memories of Sahyadri. He assured the students that the doors of Sahyadri are always open to them and wished them well in their future endeavors. Mr. Brijesh Krishnan in his address to the graduating students recalled his own graduation day which comes with a lot of mixed feelings. You celebrate success on one side and apprehensions of a new life on the other side. He asked the students to cherish their teachers all through life as a teacher affects eternity and one can never say where a teacher’s influence stops. He took us through the 400 years of Indian economy from the independence era to the emergency era and the present economic liberalization era. He told the students to make use of the world of opportunities available in today’s flat world. He gave 3 simple advises to students, One, to take care to create a profession, because profession is different from a job which includes training and learn ability and makes you a subject expert. Second, to take care of your elders because it is their toil that makes you the person you are. And Third, not to forget the most important person, that is yourself, by taking care of yourself, physically, mentally and learning every day. He concluded by calling the graduating students as supermen and super women whose time it is now.
Dr. Umesh M. Bhushi, Principal, in his vote of thanks congratulated the graduates and said that the institute was proud of their achievements. He advised the students to grow and continuously learn in life. He also called upon them to give their hundred percent in whatever they do.
Prof. Balakrishna S S, Vice Principal gave the welcome address and introduced the Chief Guest. He extended warm welcome to the dignitaries, the trustees, the parents, the press and media, the faculty, the staff and the students present on the occasion. Three of the graduating students shared their experiences of the time they spent in the Campus and expressed their gratitude to their alma mater. The formal function was followed by a photography session.
