Dr. Steven L. Fernandes, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, currently pursuing his Post-Doctoral Research at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alabama Birmingham, USA and Mr. Mohammad Anwar Manjanoor, currently pursuing his Masters in Electrical Engineering with dual degree specialization in Aerospace at Iowa State University, USA interacted with Dr. S.S. Iyengar, Ryder Professor of Computer Science and Director of the School of Computing and Information Sciences at Florida International University (FIU), USA.

Dr. Iyengar is also the founding director of the Discovery Lab. Prior to joining FIU he was the Roy Paul Daniel’s Distinguished Professor and Chairman of the Computer Science Department, Louisiana State University, USA for over 20 years. His research interests include High-Performance Algorithms, Biomedical Computing, Sensor Fusion, and Intelligent Systems for the last four decades.

Dr. Iyengar’s research has been funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Multi-University Research Initiative (MURI Program), Office of Naval Research (ONR), Department of Energy / Oak Ridge National Laboratory (DOE/ORNL), Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), US Army Research Office (URO), and various state agencies and companies.

Sahyadri staff and students invited to Judge Talent Days events at St. Aloysius College of Education, Mangaluru.

Mr. Naveen Pillar, HoD of Art and Culture Department, Mrs. Rashmitha Girish Nishal, Student Welfare Officer, Mr. Shreyas Shetty, MBA student and Ms. Varsha Shetty, Final Year student of Computer Science Department were invited by St. Aloysius College of Education as the judges at their Talents Day competitions. Mr. Naveen Pillar and Ms. Varsha Shetty were invited to judge the Mad Ad event.

Mr. Shreyas Shetty was invited to judge Folk Dance competition and Mrs. Rashmitha judged competition of cooking without fire.

These competitions were held for the benefit of the B.Ed students during their annual Talents Day Program.
