Introductory Session organized by Sahyadri Future Skills AR/VR/MR and Social Mobile

Sahyadri Future Skills AR/VR/MR and Social Mobile successfully conducted its first introductory session on the topic “Introduction to Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality and Social Mobile”. The session witnessed the participation of Teaching & Non-Teaching staff of Sahyadri.

Mr. Sachin Ganesh, Co-Founder and Director, Dreamsoft Innovations Private Limited facilitated this interactive session. The session was then taken forward by Prof. Prakhyath Rai who gave an insight on Social Mobile by illustrating the needs of mobile applications in the market and also briefed on the various categories of mobile application platforms and the programming languages used for its development.

Bridge Course for the Second Batch of Engineering – 2019

A Twelve-Day Bridge Course for the new entrants to Engineering Batch 2019 has commenced in the campus. Mr. Johnson Tellis, Director, Sahyadri Edu DREAMERS R&D Pvt. Ltd. interacted with the students and stressed the importance of starting conversation. The session included team building activities to enhance communication and decision making capabilities. Students were also encouraged to ask questions during the questioning hour which fosters critical thinking concepts such as analyzing, reasoning, decision making, evaluating and problem solving.

Valedictory of AICTE sponsored 7-Day FDP on Student Induction

The Seven-Day AICTE sponsored FDP on “Student Induction” facilitated by Mr. Ashok Gopala was brought to a successful conclusion through a formal Valedictory Programme. The Chief co-ordinator of the FDP was Dr. Ravichandra K R, Dean-Industry Connect and Head of Dept. of Mechanical Engineering. Prof. B C Pramod and Prof. Ajith B S were the faculty coordinators. The theme of the Seven-Day FDP was ‘Universal Human Values’. The attendees’ viz. faculty members from various colleges in and around Mangaluru, expressed that they were impressed as the content of the sessions delivered was exactly what they needed to hear and learn. A couple of faculty members came on stage and shared their feedback. Finally, they thanked Sahyadri and lauded AICTE for organizing the FDP.

Dr. R. Srinivasa Rao Kunte, Principal, thanked the resource person. He also thanked the participants and said that now it is their turn to carry what they have learnt and impart it to the students.

The need of Universal Human Values is to be reconsidered in the way technical education is being imparted in the technical institutions. AICTE has initiated this programme with a view to inculcate human values, knowing that technical knowledge coupled with human values will make the present day students better citizens of tomorrow.
