Future Skill Group on “Cyber Security” conducted its first session

Sahyadri Cyber Security Future Skill group successfully conducted its first session on the topic “Introduction to Cyber Security” for teaching, non-teaching and supporting staff. Dr. Anush Bekal briefed about activities of the future skill group, reasons behind forming the group and roles and responsibilities of the members. Prof. Harisha, Coordinator gave an insight on the Cyber Security Vertical and various Technical Areas covered under the group. Prof. Naithik S T, Coordinator delivered a talk on Cyber Crime, Safe Cyber space and practices essential for setting up Secure Digital Eco-System.

Seed Ball Preparation, an event organized by Dept. of Information Science & Engineering

An event on "Seed Ball Preparation” was organized by the Dept. of Information Science & Engineering in association with STAISE. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Shamanth Rai, Head of Dept. of Information Science & Engineering. While addressing the gathering he elaborated on the importance of afforestation and motivated the participants to grow more number of tress in the surrounding areas. Faculty and students of the department participated in the event. Seeds of variety of trees have been collected and more than 500 seed balls were prepared.

Introduction of Mentor:
Prof. Manohar K. is currently working as assistant professor in the Departent of Civil Engineering. He received his B.E degree in Civil Engineering from STJ Institute of Technology, Ranebennur and M.Tech in Structural Engineering from Government Engineering College, Haveri, under Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. He has four and a half years of teaching experience. He has a few publications to his credit. He is a Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (MISTE).

• Kaushal B. is from Punjalkatte. He pursued his high school from Canara High School, Mangaluru and Diploma in Engineering from Prasanna Polytechnic, Belthangady. He has participated in State level Badminton competition. He is interested in playing outdoor and indoor games. • Achinthya Mada is from Kasaragod. She pursued her high school from Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vidyanagar, Kasaragod and PUC from Vivekananda PU College, Puttur. She is interested in games and arts. Her aspiration is to work for a reputed organization and to create something new and help the society.
• Mahammad Nizamuddin is from Puttur. He pursued his high school from St. Philomena High School and PUC from St. Philomena PU College, Puttur. He is interested in sports. His aspiration is to work for a reputed organization and to create something new and help the society.
• Sahl Mohammed V.P. is from Mangaluru. He pursued his high school from Yenepoya School and PUC from Mahesh PU College, Mangaluru. He is interested in sports. His aspiration is to become an entrepreneur and to serve the needs of the society as much as possible being a civil engineer.
• Aysha Thanseena is from Farangipete. She pursued her high school from Thumbay High School and PUC from Thumbay PU College, Thumbay. She is interested in playing both indoor and outdoor games. Her aspiration is to make an unique, positive impact on the world.
• Sayed Ali is from Chikmagaluru. He pursued his high school from St. Martha’s High School, Mudigere and Diploma from Government Polytechnic, Bantwal. He is interested in both outdoor & indoor games. His aspiration is to work for a reputed organization and to create something new to help society.
• Sinchana B.K. is from Chikmagalur. She pursued her high school from Vokkaligara Sangha School, Mudigere and PUC from Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College, Ujire. She is interested in sports and cultural activities. Her aspiration is to work for reputed organization and to stand out as unique personality in the society.
• Deekshith M. Shetty is from Mangaluru. He pursued his high school from Delhi Public School and PUC from Govinda Dasa Pre University College, Mangaluru. He is interested in playing outdoor as well as indoor games. His aspiration is to work as a government employee and to create something new to benefit the society as well as the people.

NOTIFICATION: Commencement of Online PGCET 2019 Application

Karnataka Examinations Authority has released the notification of Online Application for Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2019. Candidates seeking admission to MBA through Government Quota should write this exam mandatorily.
