Dept. of Civil Engineering in association with the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) organized Webinar - "An Overview of Water Treatment for Domestic Supply”, a concept which is very important and must-know for any Civil Engineering student. The session began with a welcome address by Dr. Prakash K E, President ICI-Mangalore Centre. Dr. S Manjappa, Director-Research, gave a brief introduction to the topic of the webinar and its impact on the environment.
The speaker of the session was Dr. Jayantha KS, Principal (Retd), Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan. In his talk, he spoke about the sources of water available for water supply, its quality testing, and its parameters. He explained the water treatment process for domestic supply in detail and its importance. Prof. Hemanth Prabhu, Professor and Head of Civil Engineering Department proposed the Vote of Thanks.
