Sahyadri signs an MoU with ISTD Mangaluru/Udupi Chapter

On 16th March’2021, Sahyadri signed a MoU with Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD), Mangaluru/Udupi Chapter. Ms. Niveditha Mirajkar, Chairperson-ISTD Mangaluru/Udupi Chapter along with Ms. Divya Gatty, Soft Skills Trainer at Diya Systems, Mangaluru who is also a Life member of ISTD was at the campus and the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of Dr. Rajesha S, Principal and Dr. Vishal Samartha, Director-MBA. This MoU will contribute towards mutually beneficial collaborations and also assist to conduct staff/student enrichment programmes like conferences, seminars, workshops, lectures, meetings or other programmes.
The Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD), established in April 1970, is a national level professional & non-profit society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It has a large membership of individuals and institutions involved in the area of training and development of Human Resource from Government, Public and Private Sector Organizations & Enterprises, Educational and Training Institutions and other Professional Bodies.
The Society is affiliated to the International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (IFTDO), USA and Asian Regional Training and Development Organizations (ARTDO), Manila.

CSE student obtains Official Certification from Microsoft

Nathaniel Ryan Mathew, a Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador of 8th Semester Computer Science & Engineering recently obtained a Microsoft Certification upon clearing the exam titled AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals in association with the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador Program.
This exam measures the ability to describe cloud concepts; core Azure services; core solutions and management tools on Azure; general security and network security features; identity, governance, privacy, and compliance features; and Azure cost management and Service Level Agreements.

Sahyadrians Recruited by Infosys

Following the announcement of the Phase 2 results, a total of 85 Sahyadrians were recruited by Infosys for the position of System Engineer Trainee in the recently held campus recruitment drive. This includes Thirty four from the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering, Twenty seven from the Dept. of Information Science & Engineering, Seventeen from the Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Seven from the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering.

Manipal MedTech Hackathon 2021

Manipal MedTech Hackathon is a week-long virtual hackathon conducted to solve the real problem in the medical domain organized by Manipal - Government of Karnataka Bio incubator & Manipal School of Information Science. Various teams from different parts of the country participated in this Hackathon, out of which Team Dreamers consisting of Mr. Prajwal Shetty from Mechanical Engineering; Ms. Kavana Tilak from Computer Science & Engineering; Ms. Abhinaya from Information Science & Engineering; Ms. Ashwija from Information Science & Engineering; Mr. Thilak V S from Mechanical Engineering; Ms. Dharithri Rai B from Computer Science & Engineering and Ms. Preksha P Alva from Information Science & Engineering, have emerged as one of the winners for their idea of ‘Early Detection of Breast Cancer using Thermal Imaging’ and will be receiving a cash prize of Rs.10,000 and pre-incubation support with mentorship. This project has also received Nidhi Prayas Funding of Rs.7.3 Lakhs in the past and has been incubated by New Age Innovation Network (NAIN), Government of Karnataka.
