Joint MD - Jyothy Labs Ltd, Bengaluru visits Sahyadri and interacts with Students, Faculty and Industry Heads of in-house Companies

Mr. K Ullas Kamath, the Joint Managing Director, Jyothy Laboratories Ltd, Bengaluru visited Sahyadri, viewed the various departments, NAIN Centre, Centres of Excellence, in-house companies and Start-Ups and also interacted with the MBA Students, Faculty and Industry heads of In-House Companies on 20th March’2021.
While speaking to the students, Mr. Kamath made the students realize that they are fortunate to be studying in Sahyadri as it provides 24/7, 365 days kind of learning environment. He spoke about his Personal life, about his journey at Jyothy Labs from a Distributor to the Joint Managing Director position and shared key inputs to students on their professional life.

He started his session by talking about Academician (First in Class) Vs. Practitioner (First in Life). He emphasized on time management and the importance of utilizing the 24 hours for self. He mentioned that his hunger to earn made him learn. He appreciated Sahyadri by stating that this institution is different in its approach in whichever angle you see and it is Best to be different than one more to the list. He referred to his organization as a Hardworking Company and since 1991, the firm has only seen a growing trend in revenue. He also shared his strategy as to how his company made progress even during COVID situation as they focused on livelihood unlike others whose emphasis was on life. He urged the female students to take up their career seriously as our nation can see increase in GDP only if they contribute to it. Any firm falls under one of these three categories – Leader, Challenger and Follower.

Prof_Anil_D Mr. Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman met Dr. Anil D Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of AICTE at EPSI’s National Conference in Chennai and also interacted with him on 18th March 2021.
Education Promotion Society for India (EPSI) with the support of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) had organized a National Conference on “Salient Features of Approval Process Handbook (2021-2022) for Resetting Technical Education & Implementing National Education Policy 2020”. This programme included an Exclusive Interactive Session of Chancellors, Vice Chancellors, Directors, Registrar, Deans, Principals & HODs of Technical Institutions/ State Private Universities/Institutions Deemed to be Universities with Dr. Anil D Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

To bring in industry perspective to the subject studied by the students as part of MBA curriculum, Mr. Ashok V Bharadwaj, Director & CEO at Stallion LGSF Machines, Mumbai conducted classes for the subject Marketing Management under the Immersive MBA programme.
Mr. Ashok covered topics such as E-commerce, Marketplace Flow (How Supply Chain works), how to balance Stakeholders, Demand Forecasting and Supply Plan using Technology. He also gave insight into Roadmap of digital marketing strategy, digitization of process, components of Digital Marketing, goals and benefits of digital marketing and Digital Transformation. He discussed these varied topics through Case Studies and his industry experience in the field of Marketing for more than 30 years.
Mr. Ashok V Bharadwaj, is an industry veteran and held Senior Management positions with industries like JSW Steel, JSW Ispat Steel Ltd and Mercedes Benz India Pvt. Ltd.
