Business Opportunity Identification: Day-2 of Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp
  The second day of the three-day VTU sponsored Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp began with a session on "Business Opportunity Identification", by Dr. Chidananda Gavimath, Special Officer, VTU. He addressed the students about the new business opportunities available if perceived beyond the usual dimension. He discussed about the bio-diesel project undertaken by him and the various benefits derived from the project. Mr. Addoor Krishna Rao, Retired Director, VTU, briefed about the requirements to start a new business. He called on the student community to look beyond the obvious to identify new business opportunities.
Post lunch, the participants visited Gunashree Cashew Industry as a part of industry exposure. The students were accompanied by faculty members, Mr. Ragavendra Prabhu, Mr. Ramesh and Ms. Shilpa Shetty of the Department of Business Administration.

 Dr. Vishal Samartha, Prof. B. Raghavendra Prabhu, and Prof. Karthik Kudroli, faculty members of the Department of Business Administration are leaving for Colombo, Sri Lanka, on the 24th of March 2014 to attend the International Conference on Engineering, Management & Social Science, organized by World Academic Industry Research Collaboration Organization. More than 200 delegates from all over the world will be participating in the conference. They will be presenting papers on topics in the area of Occupational Stress, Financial Literacy, and Green Supply Chain Management.

Abhaya Kumar, and Mrs. Gayathri Shetty, Assistant Professors, Department of Business Administration, were invited to judge the Finance Event "Solitaire", a part of their management fest, ‘ECHELON-2014’, organized by the Department of Business Management, Shree Devi Institute of Technology, Kenjar, Mangalore.
