Students of Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management bagged the first prize in the Variety Competition at
'Tech Yuva - 14', a National Level Technical and Cultural Extravaganza, organized by Srinivas School of Engineering , Mukka, Mangalore.
Jnanesh and Ijaz , Semester IV, Department of Civil Engineering, and Karthik R, Vaishak , Uttam, Sandesh, Sushanth, and Swasthik, Semester IV, Department of Mechanical Engineering were part of the Sahyadri team.
Sur Sangam - 2014
Dr. Umesh. M. Bhushi, Principal, inaugurated Sur Sangam ’14; a festival of music by the students. It was in the Campus by the Department of Art & Culture and the musical festival got off to a flying start with the singing of ‘Sarasvathi Vandanam.’ Dr. Bhushi, in his inaugural address, gave a call to the students to make music a part of life and find peace and solace through it. Students can be free of stress if they accept music as their friend, he added. In his inspiring speech, he gave living examples of how to be free of stress by listening to music in every sphere of one’s life.

Mr. Naveen Pilar, Department of Art & Culture, Mr. Vidya Shankar, Student coordinator, graced the occasion.
Sur Sangam - 2014 saw enthusiastic student participation in Light music and Guzzals which provided an opportunity for the undergraduate students to showcase their talents. Mr. Vidyashanker, Mr. Varun, Ms. Malavika, Ms. Suraksha, Ms. Prathiksha, Mr. Dattaprasad, Ms. Ashwathi, Mr. Sushanth Suvarna and Mr. Vikshith Ramesh participated and were appreciated by the audience.
