A research paper titled, ‘Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Response Surface Analysis of Thrust Force and Torque in Drilling Granite Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Composites by using Multi Facet HSS Twist Drill’, authored by Jaimon Dennis Quadros and co–authored by Hanumanthraya, Suhas, Ramakrishna Devananda, Vaishak N. L., Prof. S. S. Balakrishna, and Prof. Mahesh B. Davangeri, Department of Mechanical Engineering, was presented in the International Conference on Advances in Manufacturing and Materials Engineering (ICAMME-2014), organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. The presented paper will be published in "Procedia Material Science", Elsevier Publications.

II PU Students bid farewell
I PU students organized a Farewell Programme for the outgoing batch of II PU students. Prof. Ananth Prabhu, Head, Sahyadri P. U. College and Mr. Rajesh K. R., Assistant Administrative Officer were the Chief Guests on the occasion. Prof. Prabhu urged the students to imbibe ethical values and leave their footprints in the society. He reminded them that they are the brand ambassadors of the college and role models for their juniors. Mr. Rajesh offered his best wishes. Mr. Naveen S. A. Principal, Sahyadri P. U. College acknowledged the diligence, maturity and poise displayed by the II PU students and called upon the I PU students to follow their example. He welcomed the outgoing batch of students to pursue their higher studies on Sahyadri campus and sought their co-operation in enhancing the productivity of the college. II PU students spoke about the difference Sahyadri P. U. College had made in their lives. I PU students reminisced the sweet memories of the time spent with their seniors. Faculty of Sahyadri P. U. College too offered their best wishes. Fun games and recreation activities were also held.

Sahyadrians win in State Level Tech Paper Presentation
 
Sheethal P. N., and Tania Ronald Mendonca, Semester VI Section 'B', Computer Science & Engineering, have won the Second place in the Tech Paper presentation held in the State Level Inter-collegiate Cultural, Technical and Management Fest organized by Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering, Mangalore.

• JSW Steel Ltd. will hold a recruitment drive in the Campus. 125 Engineering students from NITK, MIT and Sahyadri will attend the drive. Mr. Prahalad Chaudhary, AGM-HR & team will conduct the interviews.
• Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management will hold its Annuals Sports Day `Arena – 2014 Athletic Meet’ at 8:00 A.M. in the Campus. Mr. Nishith J. Shetty, International Athlete will be the Chief Guest. Inter-class competitions will be held throughout the day.
