Guest interacts with Mechanical Engineering students Guest interacts with Mechanical Engineering students Mr Raghunathan Krishnasamy, Chief Executive Director, Tedra Technology Pvt Ltd, Malaysia visited the campus. He interacted with the students of mechanical engineering.

Mr. Raghunathan spoke extensively on Augmented Reality /Virtual reality (AR/VR) technologies and its prospects in automobile engineering. The students also got hands-on exposure to AR/VR tools. He also called on the students to harness necessary skills in the field of AR/VR as it would be a pre-requisite for industries in the future. The department also explored the possible internship and employment opportunities for the students in Malaysia and Asia pacific region

Sahyadrians Recruited by RS Group

Sahyadrians Recruited by RS Group Mr. Vikas Malik and Mr. Arun N Devadiga from the department of Mechanical Engineering have been recruited by RS Group in the recently held campus recruitment drive. R.S. Group is a leading Global Design, Detailed Engineering, Procurement & Construction Company carrying out services primarily in the Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Fertilizer & Chemical, Air Separation, Material Handling, Pharma and bio-tech sector.

Faculty attends Convention at VTU Belagavi

Alumna interacts with the ECE Students Mr. Pavitra Ajagol, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering attended 48th ISTE National Annual Faculty Convention held at VTU Belagavi. The convention was inaugurated by Dr. Pratapsinha K. Desai, President, ISTE, New Delhi. The convention provided a platform for educationists, policy makers and other stake holders to discuss and deliberate views on the theme “Technical Education for Smart Society”. The Convention was concluded by conducting a panel discussion on Technical Education and Accreditation process in India.

Introduction of Mentor:

Mr. Naitik S.T. is currently working as Assistant Professor in the department of Information Science. He is having 7.5 years of teaching experience. He has completed M.Tech. in Computer Networking, from BNMIT, Bengaluru. He did his Diploma in IT from Alison. He has done a course on “User-Centric Mobile Computing” at IIT, Guwahati. He is a Google certified educator in Computational Sciences. He is a Life Time Member of National Geographic Society. He has been conducting research in Cyber Security domain since last 3 years. He has been guiding and training the students in the areas of Network Security, Cryptography, Ethical hacking, and Networking for projects & Internships. He has published many research papers on Security in many peer Journals. He has given hands-on training for 1st year BE students and educated them about “Cybercrime and awareness”. He is the head of S4CS Lab. He is a team member for PGI Labs at Sahyadri. He has various professional memberships like ISTE, CSTA, MACUL, iRED etc.

• Ankita kini is from Uttara Kannada. She pursued her high school from Nirmala Covent High School, and PUC from Dr. AV Baliga Arts and Science Pre-university College, Kumta. Her various hobbies are singing and cooking. She has participated in district level sports. Her aspiration is to join a good IT company or else to join Navy or Army.
• Akrithi K. Shetty is from Surathkal. She pursued her high school from NITK English Medium High School and PUC from Govinda Dasa Pre-University College, Surathkal. Her various hobbies are reading, cooking and drawing.. Her aspiration is to join a good core company.
• Charmi Sanjay Meswani is from Mumbai. She pursued her high school from Sharada Vidyalaya and PUC from Mahesh Pre-University College, Mangaluru. Her various hobbies are reading novels and cooking. She has attended various workshops and seminars. She participated in VTU level throw ball tournament. Her aspiration is to join a good core company.
• Shreya K.G. is from Chikmagalur. She pursued her high school from St. Ann’s Girls High School, Mangaluru and PU from Karkala Jnana Sudha Pre-university College, Karkala. She has attended various workshops and seminars. Her various hobbies are painting and reading novels. Her aspiration is to join a good company.
• Samiksha Uday Naik is from Uttara Kannada. She pursued her high school from Nirmala Hridaya English Medium High School Ankola and PUC from Himalaya Pre-university College, Ankola. Her various hobbies are reading novels, singing, and drawing. She has attended various workshops and seminars. Her aspiration is to be a successful IT Engineer.
• Kiran Kumar A.T. is from Shirady. He pursued his high school from St. Antony’s High School, Udane and PUC from Jnanodaya Bethany Pre-university College, Nellyadi. His various hobbies are listening to music and cooking. He has attended various workshops and seminars. His aspiration is to be a successful IT Engineer and work for a good IT company.
• Vijith J. Shekha P. is from Mangaluru. He pursued His high school from Govt. High School, Manchi, Kolnadu, and PUC from SVS Pre-university College, Bantwal. His various hobbies are reading novels, graphic designing, and art works. He has participated in technical events at Sahyadri and won prizes. His aspiration is to join a good IT company.
• Varsha Shetty is from Puttur. She has done SSLC from SVS Temple English Medium School, Bantwal and PUC from Vivekananada College, Puttur. Her hobbies are listening to music and model making. She has a dream of becoming software engineer. She and her team secured first place in II Year SPSS project exhibition held at Sahyadri.

• Arkieva is visiting Sahyadri
Arkieva is visiting Sahyadri to conduct a pool campus recruitment drive for the 2019 batch, for all branches of engineering. The recruitment is for the position of Associate Consultant with a package of Rs.3.5 Lakhs Per Annum.

• Mechanical Engineering event
Department of Mechanical Engineering is organising “OFF ROAD ROBO 2019” an intercollegiate robot racing event. Alumni students of the department, Ms. Ramya K, Assistant Mechanical Engineer & Depot Manager, KSRTC Mangalore; and Ms. Saksha Shetty, Engineer, Autoliv Bangalore will be the chief guests for the event.

Around 20 teams from Sahyadri and the neighbouring institutions are registered for the event.
