Community Initiative by MBAs: Bed Sheet distribution at Govt. Hospital, Bantwal Taluk
Prof. Raghavendra Prabhu, Department of Business Administration along with his mentees of first year MBA visited Govt. Hospital, Bantwal Taluk to know how an individual can serve the society in true sense. The hospital visit was an enriching experience for students in getting live exposure of patient’s behaviour. They donated Bed sheets to BPL General Ward patients in the presence of The Chief Medical Officer and Chief Nursing In charge.
Mphasis Ltd HRBP speaks to MBAs
Mr. Ben Subbarao, HR Business Partner of Mphasis Ltd, Mangaluru addressed the first year MBA students on HR practices carried out in their organization. In his talk, he emphasised on the key competencies – Communication, Emotional Intelligence, Hard Skill & Soft Skill, Hands-on experience on HR tools for Data Analysis that the students should develop in order to excel in the profession of an HR. He insisted on reading information about what is happening in the industry through “People Matters”, “Twitter”, and “Forbes” etc that provides insights & opinions on Human Resources issues.
The talk concluded with a Q&A session wherein the students clarified their apprehension about pursuing HR as a profession. Ben appreciated the students as they were up-to-date with the recent trends in HR and felicitated a student with a gift from Mphasis Ltd for answering a Quiz question.
