Malaria Awareness Program organized in commemoration of World Malaria Day
In commemoration of World Malaria Prevention Day, Department of Business Administration and Sahyadri Health Centre organized an awareness program for the First Year MBA students on the causes, prevention and treatment of Malaria disease.
Mr. Ankith S. Kumar, Student Counsellor, provided information about the originof Malaria, its causes, symptoms, treatment and prevention. The objective of the program was to build awareness among the students about the deadly disease and help them prevent it.
MBA Faculty invited as resource person by Srinivas Institute of Management Studies
With a view to orient MBA students to prepare them for using different learning arenas and stimulate co-operation within working and business life, an “Entrepreneurship skill development program” was organized at Srinivas Institute of Management Studies in association with Pranava Souharda Sahakari Ltd. The program started with the introductory speech by Mr. G R Prasad, President,Pranava Souharda Sahakari Ltd. Mr. Raghava V Yajamanya, Lead District Chief Manager Syndicate Bank spoke about the support from banks for startups.
Prof. GirishMadla, Assistant Professor-SG, Department of Business Administration spoke on the topic “Startups in the campus”. He addressed the students on the initiatives taken by thecampus and also spoke about the different startups at campus and the support provided to startups. He also motivated students to start their ventures and come out with innovative ideas and also expressed support from Sahyadri campus for the same.

Vishwajith M, from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Akshith A Hegde from the Department of Information Science & Engineering and Deepthi H from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering have been selected by Cubiccode Digital Media LLP for the position of Business Development Manager - Marketing Sales Executive, in the recently held campus recruitment drive for 2018 batch.

Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies (SIMS), is visiting Sahyadri to conduct a Pool Campus Recruitment Drive for the position of Graduate Marine Engineering (GME) for the BE Mechanical Engineering students of 2018 batch.
