Internet of Thing (IoT) Future Skill Group conducts first session

Sahyadri IoT Future Skill group successfully conducted its first session on the topic Introduction to IoT and its applications for teaching, non-teaching and supporting staff. Mr. Raghavendra G. Shetty, CEO, RDL Technologies Pvt Ltd gave insights on importance of Industrial IoT, and its real time applications. Dr. Anush Bekal briefed about activities of the future skill group, reasons behind forming the group and roles and responsibilities of the members.

Bunts Premier League 2019 Concludes at Sahyadri

“Tulunad Tigers” owned by Cine Star Rakshith Shetty emerged as the Winners and “Mangaluru Bulls” owned by Nithin Shetty as the Runners Up in the Bunts Premier League 2019, out of the eight Franchise Teams who played a Two-Day ten over each Cricket Tournament Season 1 at Sahyadri River Side Cricket Ground.

Faculty presents paper and bags best Paper award

Gagan Shetty K., faculty from the Department of Mechanical Engineering attended the international conference on "Smart and Sustainable Developments in Materials, Manufacturing and Energy Engineering" organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering held at NMAM Institute of Technology.

He presented a Paper entitled "Investigation and Characterization of Plasma Sprayed Cermet Coatings on Special Steel Alloy for Gas Turbine Applications" and won the Best Paper Award for the same.

Faculty receives NPTEL online certification with Elite +Silver

Gagan Shetty K., faculty from the Department of Mechanical Engineering received NPTEL Online Certification for successfully completing a course on “Product Design and Manufacturing” with a consolidated score of 87% obtaining Elite + Silver Certification.

The course is an overview of the product design and managing the development process right from idea generation to final product manufacturing in a systematic and effective way along with the manufacturing aspects, concepts of design for manufacturing and assembly, analytical tools for development, costing and prototyping.

Her area of interest includes Computer Networking, IOT and Cyber Security.

Her hobbies include reading novels, cooking, listening to music and drawing. She wants to become a software engineer.
• Meghashree is from Mangaluru. She pursued her high school from Uchila Bove’s English Medium High School and PUC from St. Ann’s Composite PU College, Mangaluru. She has participated in NITK Surathkal events. Her hobbies include dancing, singing and reading novels. She is an avid fan of music.
• Shubha is from Kundapura. She pursued her high school from S.V.E.M.S and PUC from S.V.P.U., Kundapura. Her hobbies include reading novels, cooking, listening to music and drawing.
• Deepshika S. is from Mangaluru. She pursued her high school from St. Joseph High School and PUC from Mahesh P.U. College, Mangaluru. She has participated in NIT Sikkim events and competitions. Her hobbies include listening to music and drawing.
• Sohan K.T. is from Sullia. He pursued his high school from Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Kendra, Chokkady. He completed his PUC from Vivekananda P.U. College, Puttur. He has also participated in NIT Sikkim and IIT Mandi competitions. His hobbies include cartooning, painting and aviation.
• Poorvika is from Kundapura. She pursued her high school from S.V.E.M.S and PUC from R.N.S, Kundapura. Her hobbies include singing, dancing and drawing.
