MBAs undergo Two-Day Placement Training MBAs undergo Two-Day Placement Training MBAs in their 2nd semester are now undergoing a Two-Day Placement Training in order to prepare themselves for the upcoming recruitment drives planned in the next semester. Mr. Manish Jha and Swaroop Srinivas from Practical Trainers, Bengaluru are facilitating the Training. ‘Practical Trainers’ is a leading training provider in Bengaluru with experience of training more than 10,000 students across various campuses. 180 students were part of this training programme.

Mr. Swaroop Srinivas, an industry practitioner with close to 12 years of experience has spent majority of his career in the consulting companies like PwC. He has done his engineering from NITK Suratkal and has a post-graduation from IIM Bangalore.

Mr. Manish Jha is a Sales & Marketing champion who did his MBA from Welingkar Institute of Management. With over 12 years of experience in Insurance, Consulting, Travel & Food-Tech, Manish leads the team at ‘Practical Trainers’.

Day Two of Sahyadri NSS Camp at Kumpala Government School Day Two of Sahyadri NSS Camp at Kumpala Government School Day two of the NSS camp began with the flag hoisting by the Sahyadri Painting Contactor Mr. John after which the students began the painting work of the school till afternoon. Post lunch, the students had a session by Prof. Arun Ullal, St. Sebastian School, Thokkottu. He spoke about the importance of having a sense of service among the students. The day concluded with sports organized for the students.

Introduction of the Mentor:

Dr. K Vidyavathi is a Professor in the Dept. of Business Administration. She has done her PG, M.Phil and Ph.D in Economics from Bangalore University on regular course. She is having 25 years of rich experience in research (excluding Ph.D) and 15 years of PG teaching experience. She has completed two research projects- the first one, the major research project “Opportunities and Challenges for women in Information Technology Enabled Services Sector” funded by ICSSR, New Delhi. The second one, a minor research project “Group Entrepreneurship among women-A study of SKDRDP in Dakshina Kannada District” funded by UGC, SWRO Bengaluru. She is a Ph.D Guide and 2 of her candidates are awarded Ph.D in the recently held convocation at VTU.

• Shabeen P Kanchan is from Mangaluru. He pursued his BBM from Canara College, Mangaluru. He is placed in KPMG. His hobbies are travelling, playing outdoor sports, bike riding and Fishing.
• Anusha Raghav Naik is from Kumta, Uttara Kannada. She pursued her B.Com from Dr. A.V. Baliga College of Commerce Kumta (Uttara Kannada). Her hobbies are playing outdoor as well as indoor games and browsing internet.
• Chaithra Shetty is from Manjeshwar. She pursued her B.Com from Canara College. She is placed in KPMG. She represented Sahyadri in VTU Cultural Fest held at Belagavi. Her hobbies are playing volleyball, cooking and story writing.
• Apoorva is from Mangaluru. She completed her graduation from St. Agnes College, Mangaluru. She is currently pursuing her MBA in Finance specialization. She is placed in HDFC. Her hobbies are playing indoor games, reading novels. Her goal is to excel in the field of finance.
• Manoj P is from Manjeshwar. He pursued his B.Com from Canara College. He represented Sahyadri in VTU Mangaluru Zonal and Inter Zonal Volleyball tournament. His hobbies are playing volleyball and cricket.
• Padmanabha Bhat M is from Puttur. He pursued his graduation in BBM from Vivekananda, Puttur. His aspiration is to work as a consultant in a reputed company.
• Nagaraj K Naik is from Karwar. He pursued his B.Com from Government First Grade College Karwar. His hobbies are travelling, playing outdoor games and bike riding.
• Jenita A is from Mangaluru. She pursued her B.COM from St. Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru. She is placed in KPMG. Her hobbies are reading novels, drawing and painting.
• Lawrence Nishaan Dsouza is from Puttur. He completed his B.Com from St. Philomena College, Puttur. He is currently pursuing his MBA in Finance specialization. He is placed in KPMG. His hobbies are Dancing, Playing Cricket and Football and listening to music.
• Avinash Bharadwaj M is from Kasaragod. He pursued his B.Com from Trisha College Udupi. His hobbies are listening to music, Playing Cricket and travelling.
• Sneha S Karkera is from Mukka. She pursued her B.Com from Govinda Dasa First Grade College Surathkal. She has attended a Pre-University level Girls State level NSS camp in 2013-14. Her aspiration is to work as a Financial Analyst and she is passionate to Dance.
• Canida Veigas is from Adyar. She pursued her B.Com from St. Joseph College, Jeppu Mangaluru. Her hobbies are Gardening and Playing Badminton. Her aspiration is to be a Financial Analyst.

• Department of Civil Engineering in association with SPACE (Sahyadri Pupil's Association of Civil Engineering) bids farewell to final year students at 1 pm in Nethravathi Auditorium.
