Former Member of Lok Sabha & Member AICC and a Former Minister of Urban Development, Govt. of Karnataka – Shri. Vinay Kumar Sorake visited the Campus

Shri. Vinay Kumar Sorake is a Former Member of Lok Sabha & Member AICC and a Former Minister of Urban Development, Government of Karnataka. He was an elected representative of Karnataka Legislative Assembly representing Kaup Assembly Constituency and Served as a District In-Charge Minister for Udupi. He has cultivated a clean image as an incorruptible secular politician and a dedicated social worker responsible for major development works in his constituency. Vinay Kumar Sorake was instrumental in the introduction of Akrama Sakrama Law – Under which over 1.5 lac acres of land were distributed to over 21,000 people.
Today, Sahyadri had a privilege to have Mr. Sorake in the Campus and interact with Chairman - Mr. Manjunath Bhandary. He is closely associated with Chairman since the last 3 decades. Mr. Sorake appreciated the various Sahyadri initiatives like In-house industry & the set up for Start-Up in the Institute. He was overwhelmed by the initiative taken by Sahyadri & In-house industries in response to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic. His visit proved to be more memorable by planting a sapling at the backyard of college premises.
