Five MBA-Marketing students completed Internship in 2 Companies on “New Product Launch”

Five MBA-Marketing students have completed their official term of Internship under the guidance of Dr. Ananth Prabhu, Cyber Crime Specialist, Owner & CEO of SurePass and Professor at Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering in Sahyadri, partnering with Mr. Ashwin G Poojary, Owner & CEO of Grizzly Nutrition, the Pan India supplement company and Cradle of Fashion, An Indie Fashion & Modeling agency, both based in Mangaluru.
The students had undertaken “New Product Launch” project and have led tasks related to the new product in the market and its release. They set forth the project by defining clear-cut objectives of the company - Grizzly Nutrition for its new product by conducting a meeting with the in-house team and owners and brainstorming the ideas in which they can position their new product. With the couple of interactions with the whole team, understanding and after testing the product they started with the task of achieving the objectives. The objective was to create different strategies and to create awareness among the people about the new product before launching which was unique and also had no customer base of its own.
The team worked on revamping the website for Cradle of Fashion and they suggested the whole new look for the website which is now being worked on. They wrote Blog post for the website, content for different pages, content for influencers, for their endorsement videos, content for social media posts as well as posters using different software and tools. The official terms of these interns have ended, however the journey of the product launch has just begun.

Devhost:21, Annual flagship event conducted by Sahyadri Open Source Community (SOSC)

Devhost:21, the third edition of the Annual flagship event conducted by Sahyadri Open Source Community (SOSC) was a Two-Day event held during 15th to 16th May’2021. Mr. Prakhyath Rai, the Ex-faculty coordinator of SOSC inaugurated the event.
Day 1 of Devhost:21 had talks on Design, Cloud security and AI, conducted by speakers Mr. Jehad Mohamed, Ms. Madhu Akula and Mr. Siddhanth Agarwal.
Day 2 had a workshop on Next.js and a talk on benefits of Hackathons and communities by speakers Mr. Sam Poder and Mr. Siddharth Dayalwal. The event was wrapped up with a Q&A session which included Sahyadri alumni Charmi, Monisha, Navya and Rachitha.

MBA Faculty attends ISTD Monthly Chapter Meet

Dept. of Business Administration has a MoU with Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD) Mangaluru/Udupi Chapter and Prof. Sushma V is a Life Time Member of ISTD, Mangaluru/Udupi Chapter. Monthly Chapter Meet was held on 15th May 2021 on virtual mode. A session on “Mind Maps: A Thinking Tool for Training” by Ms. Sunitha Pereira was organized as a part of the meet. A Book named “Seven Spiritual Laws of Success” was also reviewed during the meet. It was a great opportunity to interact with the members of ISTD as well as gain insights on the activities planned by the ISTD Core Committee.
