The day started early this morning with Guruji’s Satsangh for the Sahyadri Fraternity. Chairman - Mr. Manjunath Bhandary expressed his delight with the presence of Guruji in the campus and said that Sahyadri has been receiving blessings through guests from all over the place unexpectedly since its inception and hence Sahyadri gets its sanctity and good vibes from time to time.

TechVision-2019 The inauguration of Techvision 2019 – ‘Elevate 50’ kick started with a brief introduction regarding SPSS as to how it has been evolved over the years. Dr. Sandhya R Anvekar, Program Head Skilling, Karnataka Education & Technology Society (KITS), Department of IT & BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka inaugurated the event. In the introduction, a gist on how SPSS has been restructured to accommodate various ideas of SSTH which further leads to NAIN Projects and later to Start-ups was highlighted. A road map to innovation at Sahyadri and various activities planned for the execution of the same like SSTH, Social Innovation Projects and Hands-on Lab were presented before the guests and the gathering.

Dr. Sandhya in her address put forth before the audience various schemes available under KITS which could be beneficial for the engineering students to acquire a seed amount to initiate a start-up. Dr. Sandhya also highlighted on how one could procure funding from NAIN for projects which have credibility to address problems of societal concern. Dr. Sandhya congratulated the management for providing extremely superior infrastructure to incubate the ideas of students which could facilitate them to become successful entrepreneurs in the near future. She also mentioned that the start-ups, the projects being pursued in the campus and the facilities provided are of great standards and match up to the expectations of NAIN regulations which could make Sahyadri competitive enough to be addressed as the focal point of innovation.

Mr. Uday Birje, Co-founder & Director, Thinkstreet Technologies addressed the gathering and spoke about the five main attributes required for a start-up which includes Idea, Passion, Hardwork, Risk taking capacity and Focus. He stimulated the students to take up challenges and work on it.

Mr. Vikram Rai, Co-founder of Vitor Health Science Pvt Ltd addressed the gathering and congratulated the management and students for imbibing innovation as a part and parcel of the study.

Mr. Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman, Bhandary Foundation, in his address re-iterated the prime objective of introducing project-based learning at Sahyadri which intends to identify the root cause of a problem, find an idea to address it and analyze the relevant and optimistic solution for it. Dr. R Srinivass Rao Kunte, Principal proposed the vote of thanks.

Concluding Day of Techvision 2019 – ‘Elevate 50’ Concluding Day of Techvision 2019 – ‘Elevate 50’ During the Valedictory Ceremony, Prof. Uday Birje appreciated the energy and enthusiasm of students and the staff during the Two-Day event. Mr. Suryanarayanan, Start up India (Atal Innovation Mission, mentor NITI Ayog) appreciated and congratulated all the participants of Elevate - 50. Prof. Madhukar Waware, Deputy Director, AICTE e-Governance Cell, while addressing the gathering, appreciated Sahyadri’s initiatives in Technical Education for meeting the expectations of AICTE well in advance. Professor was impressed by the practical exposure given to the students by the college parallel to theoretical knowledge. He also gave some valuable suggestions to the students for participating in events like Smart India Hackathon. He urged the students to visit rural areas and solve the problems faced by the people.

Sahyadri celebrates the Ninth Graduation Day for the engineering students The Ninth Graduation Day for the students of M.Tech and Bachelor of Engineering (2018-19) was held in the Campus. 700 students of B.E. and 21 M.Tech students took an oath and received their graduation certificates from the esteemed guest - Mr. Binoy K, Campus Manager – Wipro, the Chief Guest for the ceremony.

Mr. Binoy K. has varied experience in Volume Hiring/Leadership Hiring and Technical Hiring. He is currently working with Wipro as a Regional Campus Head – Engineering for Karnataka Region. He has completed graduation in Arts with a PG in Personal Management. Mr. Binoy comes with a total of 18 years of experience in Talent Acquisition. He also enjoys connecting with people from different regions.

Dr. D.L. Prabhakara - Director, Dr. R. Srinivasa Rao Kunte – Principal, Prof. S.S. Balakrishna and also other eminent dignitaries from academia were present. Mr. Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman presided over the ceremony.

Dr D.L. Prabhakara – Director extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries on the dais florally and formally welcomed the entire gathering off the dias. Mr. Manjuath Bhandary delivered the keynote address and introduced the day’s guest.

In his address, Mr. Manjunath Bhandary said that this batch has helped set a benchmark for this college as such. He also made a proud mention of the VTU toppers/gold medalists/rank holders who had brought laurels to this college. While giving the placement picture, he mentioned that this academic year the college has made record placements. The college has given the best of the best to its students he said, and further went on to say that substantial infrastructure coupled with creative and dedicated faculty and their relentless hard work is what has made this possible. As such, today, Sahyadri stands as one of the crème-da-la-crème institutions in Karnataka.

He advised the students placed in various companies to maintain discipline and show the same sincerity so that the companies consider Sahyadri for more placements. Further, he advised the alumni to connect and share their experiences and thereby maintain a good relationship with the juniors and the faculty. The students who are placed are the brand ambassadors of companies for Sahyadri, he concluded.

Mr. Binoy K., in his speech advised the students to be a good child to their parents, a good pupil to their teachers and finally be good citizens, thus bringing laurels not only to their college but also to the society and to the world in a broader sense. He was truly impressed and said that the energy that emanates is electrifying. The ambience is energizing. He spoke about the importance of people who blessed them with knowledge – teachers and also spoke about the importance of parents.

Finally, Mr. Binoy said that there are many people who will walk into their lives, will touch and influence and then move on thus making way for more people to walk in and influence their lives.

“You are now standing on the shore of life and looking at the vast sea ahead which is your future. Also, every day of your life there will be an empty note book. It is up to you to fill it. So fill it up as much as possible, because you have the liberty”
, were his concluding words.

A couple of students shared their experience at Sahyadri and described their feelings over their passing from the institution. They are thankful to the faculty and the chairman who made them what they are today - “Graduates” all set to step out of the comfort zone and face new challenges.

Tenth Graduation Day of the MBA students celebrated in the Campus The Tenth Graduation Day for the graduating students of MBA was held in the campus. One Hundred & Seventy Eight students took an oath and received their graduation certificates from the Guests – Mr. Edwin Moses, Group Vice-President, Oracle, Bengaluru and Mr. Krishnaraj Tantri, Senior Vice-President, South and South East Asia, Global Payments, Mumbai. Dr. Vishal Samartha, Director-MBA welcomed the gathering and gave a glimpse of the College and the Department. While enumerating the achievements of the outgoing batch, she took great pride in relating the growth story of the Department.

The graduating candidates were presented by Prof. Ramesh K G, Dean-Strategic Planning and Prof. Balakrishna S S, Vice-Principal lead them in the oath taking ceremony. These students then volunteered to share their experiences about the course of their study at Sahyadri and also assured of joining hands with the institution in the form of industry-academia connects that shall contribute to the growth of the institution.

He has worked with companies across multiple industry segments; Automotive, Specialized Tooling, Management Consulting, Telecom & Banking. His responsibilities have been at both operational and leadership levels in functions as diverse as Manufacturing, Sales, Product Management, and After Sales Service & Engineering Delivery. An avid reader, a 'hungry learner' and a constant believer that there are miles to go before one can sleep.

While addressing the gathering whom Mr. Edwin Moses referred to as the Millennials, highlighted the one common factor among all was the need to be successful. Success is not how fast you run to achieve it but how long you last in it. He also shared tips to last long in a successful state – Have Passion in whatever you do, Do it with Perfection and Have clear Purpose of life. He referred to Passion as finding yourself and Purpose as losing yourself.

Mr. Krishnaraj while addressing the graduates, highlighted the key 3 factors that contribute to success – Uphold highest level of integrity, Need for strategic planning and risk taking ability. He urged students to shift their ideology from “Why me” to “Try Me”. He appreciated Sahyadri for nurturing & moulding the students to fulfil their dreams. Dr. R. Srinivasa Rao Kunte, Principal, in his presidential remarks appreciated the department for contributing talents to the nation, year after year, who not only do well for themselves but also for Sahyadri as they raise high the banners of the institution they graduate from.

Talk on “Startup to Scaleup” - How to start a start-up by Prof. Uday Birje, Mentor for Change, Attal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, Govt. of India

Techvison-2019-Startup-to-Scaleup Techvison-2019-Startup-to-Scaleup Prof. Birje addressed the Elevate-50 participants on the importance of start-ups. Firstly, he shared an inspiring video of Sundar Pichhai about start-up. While addressing the students, Professor mentioned the importance of startup in IT and non-IT fields. He urged the students to be job creators rather than job seekers for which one should be innovative in their thinking. He also gave insights about the key factors which are necessary for the success of any start up. The overall talk had an essence on how to convert their idea to a start-up and how to scale it up.

ELEVATE 2019 at Sahyadri

ELEVATE 2019 at Sahyadri ELEVATE 2019 at Sahyadri Elevate 2019 is a Technical Fest for innovative start-ups. This event was initiated with a purpose of encouraging more number of start-ups of social impact. At Sahyadri, Elevate 2019 began with a session to MBAs from Mr. Uday Birji, the Jury Member of the programme. He spoke about the importance of technology and start-up in the present business scenario. He also threw light on how the world is moving towards AI & Machine Learning.

A total of 27 teams took part in Elevate 2019 from the major 4 districts Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Shimoga, and Chikmangalur. Out of the total teams, 10 Start-ups were from Sahyadri who participated in the pitching.

In 2017, Elevate was launched with 101 winners with the recommendation of Idea2POC, out of which 87 teams got grants and rest got non-grant support.

In Elevate 2017 - Call 2 was based on AVGC, Agriculture, Tourism and Kannada & Culture. Out of 368 teams, 57 teams got selected in which 43 start-ups got funding. Elevate 2018 the Idea2PoC Evaluation Committee recommended 77 Start-ups for grant from 598 applications.

Chief Guest Ms. Vindhya Nayak G urged the students to take up learning process seriously and wished the students good luck for their future. Guest of Honour Mr. Chinmayabharan M R (Alumnus of 2016-17 Pass out) in his address spoke about the role of teachers of Sahyadri in moulding the life of students. He thanked lecturers of Sahyadri for the constant support and encouragement, stated that he was fortunate to have received such teachers. Mr. Yeshwanth Shetty, Actor of Soojidaara was also present in the function and praised Sahyadri for its wonderful infrastructure. Mr. Abhijit Kotegar (Producer of Movie Soojidara) was also present during the programme.

The Training was facilitated by JCI Sen MB Sadashiva, State Trainer & a Motivational Speaker and JCI Sen Soujanya Hegde, Provisional National Trainer.

Sushma, while addressing the members of JCI, mentioned how fortunate she feels to be associated with Sahyadri and remembered the words of Chairman, Mr. Manjunath Bhandary – “Sahyadri is not mine or yours, it is for the society”. He has always supported events like these to be organized in the campus by which majority of people get benefitted. She stimulated the participants to develop interest towards life-long learning as its opens doors for new opportunities. Prof. Sushma V is the President of JCI Mangalore Disha for the year 2019.

Dept. of Civil Engineering observes Earth Day 2019 Dept. of Civil Engineering observes Earth Day 2019 Department of Civil Engineering commemorates Earth Day 2019 with the theme "Protect our species". The chief guest of the function was Sri P Shridhar, Range Forest Officer, Mangaluru. The programme was presided by the Principal Dr. R Srinivas Rao Kunte. The function was inaugurated by the Chief Guest by watering the sapling.

Sri P Shridhar, in his address, highlighted the importance of saving trees and also emphasized on the fact that human beings have irrevocably upset the balance of nature and as a result, the world is facing the greatest rate of extinction. He also explained the role of engineers in saving environments and affecting sustainable development. He stated that engineers should use creativity, technology, and scientific knowledge to solve practical problems for a sustainable ecosystem.

The function then proceeded with the ceremonial series of the planting of the sapling in the Campus. The primary objective of this initiative was to make the environment a greener place to live in. Mr. Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman; Mr. Devdas Hegde-Trustee, Dr. Manjappa Sarathi, Director of Research and Mr. Sunil Kumar, Head of Civil Engineering Dept were also present during this significant event.

Alumnus of Civil Engineering ventures into Movie Making – Sooji Daara, a Suspense Thriller in Kannada Mr. Shashidhar Hegde, Ex-Mayor visits Sahyadri Sooji Daara, a Suspense Romantic Thriller in Kannada was released on May 10th’2019 in whole of Karnataka produced by Mr. Abhijith Kotegar, an alumnus of Civil Engineering Department (Batch 2009 – 2013). After his Engineering at Sahyadri, Abhijith worked for 2 years on contract with Manipal Groups as a Civil Engineer, post which, he pursued his passion for movies. Sooji Daara, starring Hari Priya and Yeshwanth Shetty in the lead role is the dream project of Abhijith. He was at the campus to seek blessings and good wishes from the Chairman – Mr Manjunath Bhandary for the success of his movie. Abhijith can also be seen performing in a negative role in the same movie.

Dr. Basavraj Talawar completed his PhD from IISC Bangalore, presently working as a, Asst Professor in the Dept of Computer Science & Engineering at NITK Suratkal. He presented the importance of research and attributes of a good researcher. He specified the objectives of the Research work, Environment or Context of the research problem. He also focused on how to write a research paper, the various sections of a paper, the importance of tables, figures and mathematical representation, simulations, results and discussions. He spoke on the importance of conferences and journals too. He concluded his talk by suggesting to publish the research work in SCI & SCOPUS indexed journals. The overall session was highly informative and interactive.

Mr. Surya Shekar and Mr Shridhara Avabhrath of Konkan Railway Academy were present. Mr. Surya Shekar gave an overview of Konkan Railways. In his session, Mr. Shridhara spoke extensively on the opportunities at Konkan Railways. The speakers called on students to start their own enterprise as railway contractors. The department explored possible opportunities for internships.

Director of DXC Technology delivers Guest Talk ” for Faculty Director of DXC Technology delivers Guest Talk Mr. Manoj K.P., Director, DXC Technology addressed first year MBA students on the topic “Digital Disruption - Staying Relevant”. He started his session by educating the students on "Digital" which means not just hardware part of it but way of doing things. In order to stay relevant in the digital age he gave inputs on five dimensions of digital sustainability:
• Agility -Rapid Decision Making & Execution,
• Connectivity - Consistent Collaboration,
• Discipline & Focus - Clarity on Desired Outcome,
• Empowerment & Alignment - Empowered to make decisions, and
• Openness & Transparency - Ethical practices.
Mr. Manoj spoke about the evolution from industrial age to digital age and he enlightened students on how to become digitally sustainable leaders by having the required skill sets. He also addressed the faculty members of various departments and briefed them about the role of a teacher in preparing students for the fast changing digital world.

Mr. Manoj has agreed to mentor a couple of faculty members and students on specific topics of Management studies.

VP-Corporate Relationship, Outlook Group visits Sahyadri Ms.Pranamanjari, Vice President-Corporate Relationship, Outlook Group visited Sahyadri. She interacted with Chairman Mr. Manjunath Bhandary and appreciated his contribution in the field of professional education. She acknowledged the fact that in a short span of 11 years the college has taken lot of initiatives to nurture the young talent pool. She made a mention that the college infrastructure is providing the right environment. She visited the in-house startup and industries and appreciated the passion with which students are involving in each and every activities of the campus.

Prof. Sudheer Shetty, Dean Examination was the Guest of Honour. Dr. J V Gorabal, Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering gave the presidential address.

On this dual occasion, annual report of the club activities was presented by Krithesh Bhandary, Vice President - CLOUDS. Awards were distributed to the class toppers and subject toppers of the Odd semester. The outgoing students and faculty members shared their experiences at Sahyadri. Ms. Pooja N.S., Staff Coordinator and Ms. Souravi, General Secretary, were also present. Cultural events were organized both by students and staff and the event was brought to successful conclusion.

Writing-Research-Paper Writing-Research-Paper In order to empower faculty in writing quality research articles to be published in SCOPUS Indexed Journals, the Dept of Business Administration-MBA in collaboration with NIPM, Mangaluru Chapter organized a Workshop on “Writing Research Paper” for Faculty. The workshop was facilitated by Prof. Nandan Prabhu, MAHE – Manipal. Mr. Divakar Kadri, Chairman-NIPM, Mangaluru Chapter was also present during the workshop.

Prof. Nandan Prabhu has 32 years of teaching experience. He did his Doctoral Research on “Transformational leadership and Workplace Spirituality: A Structural Model of Team Effectiveness.” He has published his research papers in national and international journals that are indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.

“Pathway to Excellence” a Specialization Workshop for MBAs “Pathway to Excellence” a Specialization Workshop for MBAs Dept. of Business Administration-MBA organized a Specialization Workshop - “Pathway to Excellence”. The Guest Speakers for the forenoon session represented top finance companies & banks and spoke on various topics.

Mr. Jayaraj is a Senior Branch Manager at Bajaj Capital Ltd., Mangalore. He addressed the students on Finance Specialization and advised the students to follow their passion by understanding their interest. He also explained the problems of corporates in today’s world i.e. mismanagement at top level. Today’s corporate world is much concerned about rate factor.
Furthermore, he explained about the working of Bajaj Capitals where costumers are God of business and they prioritize the relationship and understanding of the customer. He explained about the role of investor which needs understanding of finance and money management. He went on to say that the place of work can restrict the choice of specialization and students should possess balance between their skills and corporate expectation.
He gave a brief knowledge about skills required and opportunities in finance. Further, the role like Finance Consultant, Investment Banker and Corporate Finance were explained by him. Later, he concluded by giving some examples of Dhirubai Ambani - Never leave Attitude.

Mr. Nitin Shetty – Chartered Accountant Nitin and Co., Mangaluru, started his talk by telling the difference between view and statement. He further explained the scope of MBA Finance in job market. He explained the importance of taxation, RERA, GST knowledge among the students and one should not feel bad to start the career from the lower level. He further encouraged students to participate in different seminars to know more about partnership deed, International Taxation, Joint development etc. Lastly, he quoted “Knowledge comes only through Experience”.

Mr. Sharath Anchan – Customer Relation Executive - Thomas Cook is an alumnus of Sahyadri who is currently working in Forex Department of Thomas Crook. He explained about the laws and acts that an MBA student should know about. He made the students aware about the competition prevailing in the market. Ms. Hema Malini S – Maneger (HR & RR) and Manager (Emergency Response Coordination Mangalore SEZ Limited, quoted the HR department with a personal touch. For a long time, HR was not considered a strategic partner but now scenario has changed. When she was a staff functional, she only executed what company told but could not take up what company needs. She mentioned helping employees to achieve company goals and helping employees to achieve employee goals at the same time. What HR does is policies and systems, employee benefits, recruitment training and development, reward management etc. HR is a function where people’s interaction is a must. She concluded with an advice “Choose the job you love and you will never have to work even a day.”

Mr. Deepak Boloor, HR Manager, AR Inspects Software Pvt Limited, Mangalore spoke about the field of HR. He shared his experience about the process of recruitment and observing whether the person is technically and behaviourally fit. There must be consensus between company and employees. He mentioned that companies around the globe are ready to spend because IT industry is changing day by day. Thus, employees have to upskill, reskill or cross skill. He concluded the gap between leader’s role and stated that business understanding is to be bridged and value enhancement be ensured so that we make them grow over a period of time.

Mr. Rachan Shetty – Senior Recruiter, Ian Martin,is an alumnus of Sahyadri. He spoke about his experience in Ian Martin. He did his dual specialisation in Finance and HR. Though he wanted to take up career in finance he ended up being a recruiter. He shared his experience about the selection process of Ian Martin wherein he had to undergo a written and interview round. Lastly, he concluded with the words “Be thoughtful and confident – You will get a job.”

Ms. Sana Perveen – HR Recruiter, TEKsystems, , is an alumna of Sahyadri. Having done her MBA in Marketing, she is currently working as an HR by choice. She was always very keen on what kind of job to get into. She is very much people-oriented and love to move around. Though she cracked two interviews it was her third interview in TEKsystems which she accepted. She looks into the need of the clients and builds strategies accordingly. Her concluding words were “When you get an opportunity, grab it”.

Mr. Manish Jha and Swaroop Srinivas from Practical Trainers, Bengaluru are facilitating the Training. ‘Practical Trainers’ is a leading training provider in Bengaluru with experience of training more than 10,000 students across various campuses. 180 students were part of this training programme.

Mr. Swaroop Srinivas, an industry practitioner with close to 12 years of experience has spent majority of his career in the consulting companies like PwC. He has done his engineering from NITK Suratkal and has a post-graduation from IIM Bangalore.

The programme was organized with an objective to provide basic idea about the process of pot composting house hold waste. Faculty took interest in the process of pot compost and many have booked the pots for composting which will be supplied by Ramakrishna Mission.

TCS World 10K Bengaluru is an annual 10 kilometres road running competition which takes place in Bengaluru. The competition was first held in 2008 and the event is organized by Procam International, a sport and leisure management firm which is also responsible for the Mumbai Marathon and Delhi Half Marathon.

In his address, Dr. Gautam emphasized the need for publishing the research papers based on the research findings to have better professional growth in the field of teaching. He educated the faculties as to how to choose a publisher and also spoke about high-quality journals, the challenges faced by an author in publishing high-quality peer-reviewed journals and how to overcome those challenges. Finally, he demonstrated the way of submitting a research paper.

Mr. Shashidhar Hegde, Ex-Mayor visits Sahyadri Sahyadri is graced by the visit of Mr. Shashidhar Hegde, Ex-Mayor of Mangalore. He was accompanied by three leading business proprietors owning food outlets in and around Mangalore namely; Mr. M. Ganesh Shetty, Mr. Pradhyumna Rao and Mr. Ramananda Bhandary.

The guests interacted with the chairman who accompanied them around the campus. They visited the departmental innovation centres and the various startups and industries of Sahyadri and had deep admiration for its student-centric learning environment.

Mr. Abijeeth of GASSOL Solutions Private Limited visits Sahyadri Mr. Abijeeth of GASSOL Solutions Private Limited visited Sahyadri Campus. He interacted with the chairman and discussed about the various LPG/CNG related innovations and solutions they are working on, for improving the storage and combustion. The overall effort of GASSOL is towards taking up green initiative to have lesser impact on environment.

Mr. Abijeeth had an interaction with CALIPER and RDL for developing few products which would help them in executing their vision. He showed interest for collaboration with our students and faculties to provide solutions to societal problems.

GASSOL Solutions Private Limited was incorporated in July 2016. GASSOL began its celebrated journey in the year 1987 as a distributor for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) under the name ‘Padmashree Agencies’. They design and install the most reliable and compliant gas installations which helps reduce carbon emissions.

Officials from Prajavani visit the Campus Mr. Prakash Kugve, Bureau Chief and Mr. Mahesh Kanneshwar, Reporter and Sub-editor, Prajavani, Mangaluru visited the campus and interacted with the Chairman Mr. Manjunath Bhandary. Both the dignitaries carry a decade plus experience and association with Prajavani.
Mr. Kugve and Mr. Kanneshwar were spell bound with the learning process created within the campus and specially appreciated the initiatives of having startups and industries within campus providing hands on experience to the students which is the need of the hour today.

Dept. of E&C Engineering organized a Half-Day workshop on “Technical Paper Writing” for Faculty Dr. Shyam Lal, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering, NITK, Surathkal was the resource person for the workshop. His area of research includes Python and Matlab programming for signal and image processing, Satellite Image Processing and Analysis, Medical Image Processing, Machine and Deep Learning Algorithms with applications. He is a recipient of the prestigious “Young Faculty Research Fellowship” award under Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics & IT from Digital India Corporation (formerly Media Lab Asia), Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Govt. of India and Early Career Research Award (Young Scientist Award) from SERB-DST, Govt. of India.
During the workshop, he highlighted the need to find a narrow research field and conduct a research on that particular field before writing a research paper. He emphasized about the tools required to conduct a research. He gave an insight into the different ways of finding research ideas; either by reading recent research papers from good quality journals, reading recent technical magazines from the reputed publisher or discussions with colleagues & industry experts. He also focused on the reasons why a paper gets rejected based on title, abstract, conclusions etc. He also spoke about the different components to be included in a research paper and threw light into each section of the research paper. He concluded his talk by suggesting publishing less but quality paper in SCI & Scopus Indexed journals.

Dept. of Civil Engineering bids farewell to the final year students Dept. of Civil Engineering in association with SPACE bid adieu to the Students of 2015-2019 Civil Engineering Batch. The programme commenced with encouraging words shared by the Vice-Principal, Prof. S S Balakrishna followed by a felicitation to each student of the outgoing batch with a memento as a token of love & good luck wishes. Prof. Sunil Kumar K, Head of the Department; Prof. Geetha S D, Space Coordinator and Mohd. Ismail, Vice-President of SPACE were present during this event.

They addressed the 3rd year students regarding the placement preparations & their Gamified requirements for final year students regarding the internship and pre-placement opportunity offered by TCS.

He also spoke about life at Angelo Eastern, the levels or ranks in Anglo Eastern, procedure for writing exams and certification for promotion. UNI GAUGE E 2019 AND COMEDK UGET Online Exam in Sahyadri Campus

UNI GAUGE E 2019 and COMED-K Online Exams were conducted in College computer labs. Around 150 students appeared for the test. COMEDK UGET is a state-level exam conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) for admission to undergraduate engineering courses at around 190 engineering colleges in the state of Karnataka. Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation, in their endeavor to offer an effective, fair and objective testing procedure to determine merit of students seeking admission to the member institutions, have formed “Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka” (COMEDK). COMEDK has been assigned the task of organizing a common entrance test for the academic year 2019-2020. COMEDK entrance test & publication of test score and rank list will be followed by centralized counseling (Single window system).

Defence approved Caliper for the manufacturing of two products
