Excellent P U College
The Zonal Level Competitions of Sahyadri Science Talent Hunt-2014 was held at Excellent P U College, Moodbidri. Mr. Madhukar Salian, Principal, Jain junior College, inaugurated the program. In his inaugural address, he appreciated the concept of Sahyadri Science Talent Hunt and expressed his gratitude to the management of Sahyadri for providing the students the opportunity for participating in the competition. Mr. Yuvaraj, Chairman, Excellent P U College, appreciated the growth of Sahyadri, the infrastructure available for the overall development of the engineering students and the research facilities provided for the students. Mr. Nagesh, Principal, Excellent P U College, presided over the function. He encouraged the students to actively take part in the events of Sahyadri Science Talent Hunt-2014. Prof. S. S. Balakrishna, HoD, Department of Mechanical Engineering, spoke about the importance of projects and research activities and its usefulness to the society and motivated the students to participate in the event. Dr. Shrutha Keerthi Raja, AO, Excellent P U College and the HoD of the Department of Biology and the co-ordinator for the event, shared his experience when he was a faculty member in Sahyadri and the coordinator for the CET-Cell. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity and support rendered by the Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management and briefed about the competitions. Mrs. Usha S., Aptra Technologies, graced the occasion.
In the valedictory programme, Mr. Govindappa, Principal, Sri Mahaveera P U College, Moodbidri was the Chief Guest. He called on the students to make the best utilization of the sources of information like Google and Internet available to them for the betterment of the society and also gave away the prizes for the winners.
Mr. Johnson, Student Coordinator spoke about the importance of projects and suggested them to grab every single opportunity they get to showcase their talent. He also spoke about projects exhibited and gave them some tips to improve the quality of their work.
Mrs. Rashmitha Yuvaraj, Secretary of the Trust also gave away the prizes and mementos. Coordinators and students from Jain Pre University College, Moodbidri, , Sri Mahaveera P U College, Moodbidri , participated with great spirit and joy in all the events held at Excellent P U College, Moodbidri. St. Agnes P U College
Sahyadri Science Talent Hunt-2014 at St Agnes PU College was inaugurated by Dr. Molly Chaudhuri, HOD, Department of Training. She addressed the students on the importance and relevance of this event. Along with vice principal, Sr.Linet, faculty coordinators, Ms. Juliana Tellis and Ms. Venetia, Mr. Vasant Kedige, Media Consultant, Aptra Technologies, Ms. Ankitha Shetty, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, and Student coordinators, John, Johnson, Nishanth, and Athira, the event was conducted successfully.
At the valedictory function, Johnson Tellis read out the results. Dr. Molly Chaudhuri and Sr. Linet gave away the certificates to the winners. The management, faculty members and the students of St. Agnes P U College appreciated the initiative taken by Sahyadri and assured of more participation in the future.

SAMCE - Sahyadri Association of M.Tech Civil Engineers Inaugurated
SAMCE- Sahyadri Association of M.Tech Civil Engineers was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. U. M. Bhushi, Principal of the College. In his inaugural address, he said that engineers should be passionate, be proud, be sincere and that involvement is important to achieve something in any work. He also reiterated that students should work beyond their curricular activity to make significant change in society. The function was presided over by Prof. Umashankar B. S., Dean Academic. In his presidential address, he gave a motivational speech for the students to utilize these platforms and to make significant change in the civil engineering field. He called on civil engineers to be like an EAGLE. Prof. Umesh S. S. HoD, Department of Civil Engineering also addressed all the dignitaries, staff and students.
