Federal Bank campus recruitment drive
Federal bank conducted the pooled campus recruitment drive at Sahyadri for the engineering students passed out in the year 2016 of the Udupi and Dakshin Kannada Region.
Alumni interacts with students and faculty members
Mr. Shivaprasad Shetty, Consultant BI & Hadoop, SAAMA Technologies, and Mr. Amrith Deenraj, NOC Engineer, Aryaka Networks, Alumni of the college addressed the students from the department of Computer Science & Engineering, Information Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. During the interaction, they stressed on the importance of various programming languages. Students were briefed on the work methods and work culture at industries that are essential to meet the global quality needs. They shared few useful tips on how to face the challenges in the industries, post which they also interacted with the HOD and faculties of the department.

Mr. Rajender Kumar Kataria, IAS, Managing Director, KSRTC visited Sahyadri and interacted with the Chairman, Mr. Manjunath Bhandary and the Principal Dr. U. M. Bhushi. He was taken around the campus and was appreciative of the efforts of Sahyadri College both in setting up advanced research laboratories and suitable ambiance for learning.
SSTH-2016 Zonal Event at S.V.S Pre-University College, Bantwal
The SSTH zonal event was organized at S.V.S P.U.College, Bantwal. Chief Guest, Dr. Panduranga Nayak, Principal S.V.S Degree College in his inaugural address congratulated the Sahyadri Management and SSTH Team for organizing such a unique program. He said, problem identification, problem solving skills, creativity, team work and time management are the five essential factors that has potential to change a situation to its best when managed well and also said that SSTH has provide the platform to develop these factors in an individual. Mrs. Shashikala, Principal S.V.S P U College, also graced the occasion.
Regional coordinator, Mr. Vaishak N.L., Zonal coordinators, Mr. Kiran Prakash, Mrs. Sharada Priyadarshini and Mr. John Nikhil evaluated the student projects.

Department of Mathematics has organized a guest lecture for III semester students of the department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, in “SIGNIFICANCE OF FOURIER SERIES AND TRANSFORMS IN ENGINEERING” on the 7th of November, 2016 between 3pm-4pm in the first floor seminar hall. The session will be engaged by Dr. Savita H.M., HOD, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, St. Joseph Engineering College, Mangalore.
