Mr. Prajay Alva, Principal Architect, Anoma Design Studio, Bengaluru, and Director, Hoysala Village Resort, Hassan visited Sahyadri. Mr. Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman accompanied the guest around the campus and talked about the initiatives in the campus.

Mr. Alva visited various innovation centres, start-ups and student-centric initiatives. He was awestruck with Sahyadri's achievements and was impressed with the unique education system established at Sahyadri. He appreciated the substantial infrastructure, and lush green ambience of the institute. He lauded the Chairman on his excellent commitment towards building an institute of such magnitude.

Workshop on ‘Capitaline Databases’ organized for MBAs

Mr. Gurumurthy from Capitaline Plus conducted a workshop on ‘Capitaline Databases’ for the faculty and students of MBA on 6th Nov’19. He walked the audience through the database that stores an enormous data pertaining to the listed companies in Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE).

Students can now work on their assignments related to Organization Study - financial standing, Ratio Analysis, Management Hierarchy and so on by utilizing the Capitaline Database, Mr. Gurumurthy stated. This gives hands-on experience to students in terms of studying the data, analyzing the data and interpreting the results.

Sahyadri Science Talent Hunt (SSTH-2019) – An upcoming Megha Event on 16th Nov’19

Sahyadri Science Talent Hunt (SSTH-2019) is an annual gathering of eminent personalities interacting and embedding the seeds of scientific curiosity in students. The objective of this program is to inspire, motivate and give thrust to education, innovation in the field of science and technology.

Sahyadri has been taking the initiative of organizing this event of such high magnitude, to motivate pre-university and high school students to come up with ideas and bring it to life through prototypes. Dr C N Ashwathnarayan
Dr C N Ashwathnarayan is the Honourable Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka. He also holds the office of Higher Education, Information Technology & Biotechnology and Science & Technology.
Dr. Ashwathnarayan has enabled the introduction of health insurance schemes and pension scheme for widows, handicaps and senior citizens. He has also worked towards initiatives like Zero Garbage, Waste Recycle, Gymnasiums and Aerobics Centers.
Having obtained his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College (KMC), he has held various positions in medical associations and unions.

Dr Bharath Shetty Y
Dr. Bharath Shetty Y., MLA - Mangaluru City North, has been involved in teaching for the past 2 decades and is currently the Principal of A. J. Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangaluru. He has served as Central Council Member of Indian Dental Association (IDA), Senate & Syndicate Member of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, and President of Indian Dental Association (Dakshina Kannada Branch).
Dr. Shetty completed his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Dentistry from A. B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangaluru.


Mr Prashant Kumar Mishra, IAS
Mr Prashant Kumar Mishra, IAS, is the Managing Director of Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS), Dept. of IT & BT, Govt. of Karnataka. He is a law graduate from Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar. He has practised as an advocate in Bombay High Court before getting selected for prestigious IAS in the year 2014. His areas of interest include public policy and commercial laws.

Mr Prashanth Prakash, started his investing career as co-founder of Erasmic, one of India’s first early-stage funds. He is a founding partner of Accel India. He focuses on consumer Internet services, online marketplaces, and SaaS.
Mr. Prashanth Prakash has led investments in Agrostar, BlueStone, BookMyShow, Clevertap, FabHotels, Glowroad, HolidayMe, HomeLane, InfraMarket, PropTiger, QwikCilver (acquired by Pine Labs), Rentomojo, TeaBox, and other early-stage companies. He is the chairman of United Way Bengaluru and of Sikshana Foundation. He holds a master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Delaware, USA.

B C Pramod is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He completed his M.Tech (Mechatronics) and B.Tech (Mechanical) from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal (NITK). He is having teaching experience of 3 years. His areas of interest include Mechatronics, Energy Harvesting systems and MEMS. He has published various research articles in reputed journals. He is a life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).
