Bridge Course 2020 Third Batch – Day Two
The Day 2 of Bridge Course included Introduction to OnShape Software and Introduction to Basic Electronics.
In the morning session, the students learnt lines and 2D Sketching on Onshape Software. The session was conducted by the trainers - Mr. Gautham Nayak. In the afternoon Ms. Shibani Pinto conducted a session on Basics of Electronics.
Students were made to understand the concepts of current flow, resistance and working of transistors. Followed by which the students had an introduction to Arduino programming and understood the working of sensors like ldr sensors, ultrasonic, etc.
CSE Faculty is invited as Resource Person for AICTE Sponsored 6 Days STTP
Dr. Ananth Prabhu G., Professor in the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering was invited to deliver a Lecture on a Webinar on 'New Gen Cyber Crimes' organized by the Gopalan College of Engineering, Bengaluru as part of the Six days AICTE sponsored Short Term Training Program (STTP).
Dr. Prabhu, Cyber Security Expert whose current mission is CyberSafe India, highlighted about the 17 New Generation crimes viz. fake profiles & Deep Fakes, Ransomware Attack, IOT, Phishing, Tab Napping, Smishing etc. Also tips on how to stay cyber safe and ensure responsible browsing was discussed.
More than 500 participants from all over the country participated in the STTP. There was an exhaustive Q&A session.
