Feedback from Placed Students

I am sharing my experience with Tech Mahindra during the campus drive. There were 4 rounds in total: Aptitude, Essay writing, Technical Interview and HR Interview.

Round 1: Online Aptitude Test
The online aptitude test comprises of 130 questions which is to be completed in 80 minutes. For guidance on aptitude refer IndiaBix.com which is of great help to improve on the essential skills. Once you clear the aptitude, 70% of your work is done. So prepare well for the aptitude.

Round 2: Essay writing
They generate corresponding result as per the cut off. If you are selected then there is an essay writing test for 10 minutes.
The topic given to me, “Should your college adopt uniform policy”.

Round 3: Technical interview
For the technical round one needs to be well prepared with the core subjects. Aspects such as C or Java should be known. One requires to be very confident with their favourite subjects. The technical round is also a matter of luck to a small extent.
Then you will be asked to explain your academic projects. Since I am from MCA, I explained the working of my project. I did not mention the development language that I used.
Round 4
There were simple questions such as,
Tell me about yourself, Family, Weakness, Strengths. Why should one hire you, Why are you interested to join the company etc.
It is so simple but keep the confidence.
One thing that I understood was that keeping an eye contact during an interview is very important. You need to be confident and honest.
I was talking to the HR in simple English terms, so he liked it.
He also suggested that never try to use high English words if you don't know what they mean.
He also asked me, if I had any questions. I asked him general questions about the company and what kind of projects would I be assisting.
Hope this will help my fellow mates and juniors.
