A research paper titled "Readying Newborns to Hear and Speak for Eradication of Speech-Impairment from the Face of Planet Earth", authored by Prof. B N Karkera & Dr. Manjappa Sarathi, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Mr. Rakhesh P, Sahyadri Edu Dreamers R&D Pvt. Ltd., Shakila Banu, Cascademic Solutions, Bengaluru, Abdullah Khan, iWave Systems Technologies, Bengaluru, and Dr. Nalini Bhat & Harshada Tawde, BARC Hospital, Anushaktinagar, Mumbai, got published in an International Journal, Academia and Society, Vol 3, Number 1, October 2016 edition.

Tomorrow at Sahyadri

Department of Business Administration is hosting a one day Faculty Development Programme on “Teaching Pedagogy for Undergraduate Teachers” on the 21st of October, 2016 in the ground floor seminar hall. Dr. Panduranga Nayak, Principal, SVS College, Bantwal will be the Chief Guest for the function.

The basic premise behind organizing this event is to train and develop professionals in teaching and to enhance their capacities in guiding and motivating student’s .The Major focus of this FDP is to upgrade the teaching, training and content development skills of the participants.

Karnataka has rich diversity of medicinal plants. To increase the awareness among students and society about the importance of medicinal plants, Sahyadri has taken an initiative to develop a medicinal plants garden within the campus under the initiative of Sahyadri Green Cell. As a first move to kick start the activity, Dr. Umesh M Bhushi, Chairperson, Green Cell accompanied by the Green Cell committee members and Green Cell student volunteers planted the very first medicinal plant with an objective of establishing the medicinal plant garden to serve to its right cause.
