Mr. Mithun Shetty of first semester from the department of Computer Science & Engineering has won 3rd place in 100 Metres and 1st place in 4x100 Metres relay in state level Amateur Athletic meet held at Bhagalkot.

Ms. Shwethashri K, 2016 passed out student of Civil Engineering Department has been recruited as Project Staff in the SERB Project titled "Optimal Damping of Porous Screen in Tuned Liquid Damper Structure Interaction" in the Applied Mechanics & Hydraulics Department, NITK, Surathkal.

Indian Navy campus recruitment drive
Indian Navy conducted the pooled campus recruitment drive for the graduating students of the 2017 Batch. 250 students from the pool colleges were part of the recruitment process. Captain A. K. Roy Choudhury, Command Recruitment Officer, Southern Naval Command accompanied by the panellists on the recruitment team was at the campus to facilitate the entire process.
