MBA Alumna wins CEO Award 2017 at Allcargo Logistics, Mumbai

MBA Alumna wins CEO Award 2017 at Allcargo Logistics Swetha Shetty, an alumna of MBA Batch 2012 - 2014 who is currently working at Allcargo Logistics, Mumbai has been awarded with the CEO Award, the most prestigious award in All India Level of the organization for her Outstanding Performance for the year 2017. She is the youngest to have received this award till date. Swetha was placed by Sahyadri at Allcargo Logistics, Mumbai in the year 2014 as a Management Trainee and now she has been promoted as an Assistant Manager handling training for the new Management Trainee’s who join the organization. She has been appreciated profoundly for her commitment & dedication towards work since she has not taken a single leave during the last 1.5 years.

Dr. Umesh M Bhushi nominated as the Member of VTU Grievance Redressal Committee

Dr. Umesh M Bhushi, Principal has been nominated as the Member of the Grievance Redressal Committee of Mysuru Region Colleges affiliated to VTU by order of the Vice-Chancellor of Visvesvaraya Technological University with effect from 27th September 2017. The committee is constituted as per the UGC Regulations in order to handle grievances pertaining to the Colleges affiliated to VTU in Mysuru Region. He will be serving as a member of the committee for a period of 2 years. Sahyadri family congratulates Dr. Bhushi.

Project of a faculty of Physics Department has been approved for the VGST funding

Project proposal entitled ‘Structural Characterisation of ferroelectric thin films grown by spin coating’ submitted by Dr. Navin N Bappalige is selected for VGST funding for the financial year 2016-17. The project was approved under Research Funding for Talented Teachers [RFTT] scheme and is for the sum of Rupees Three Lakhs.

Under this project the Department will get Spin coater and Variable temperature furnace along with other thin film deposition requirements. Ferroelectric thin films are known sensors and the project will help faculty as well as students along with researchers in developing sensors of varied nature.
