We are happy to announce to our stakeholders that Sahyadri has been selected as the participating institute of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan programme. Our institute will be adopting five villages - Kodman, Bantval, Kariyangala, Adyar and Badaga Bellur.

The Mission of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is to enable higher educational institutions to work with the people of rural India in identifying development challenges and evolving appropriate solutions for accelerating sustainable growth. It also aims to create a virtuous cycle between society and an inclusive academic system by providing knowledge and practices for emerging professions and to upgrade the capabilities of both the public and the private sectors in responding to the development needs of rural India. Sahyadri Athletic Team at the 21st VTU Inter-Collegiate Athletics Meet in SJCIT, Chikkaballapura

Sahyadri Women Athletic Team has emerged as the Overall Champions with 60 points and Overall Runner-up (combined men and women) with 70 points in the 21st VTU Inter-Collegiate Athletics Meet in SJCIT, Chikkaballapura held during 26th to 29th October, 2018.

Outbound Training for MBAs in Sakleshpur

A total of 110 second year MBA students accompanied by 7 faculty members went for an Outbound Training at Sakleshpur. The objective of the training was learning of the academics to be converted to practical learning and reflection coupled with how to improvise and understand their shortfalls, overcome their deficits and preparation of professional expectations of the industry. Mr. Ramani Venkat, NLP Trainer, facilitated the training.

Students also enjoyed trekking Murkannu Gudda, a mountain which is at around 3900 ft. The experience gave them an insight into the challenges they face and also the satisfaction when they achieve it.

Campus Recrutiment Drive - Evobi Automations Pvt Ltd

Evobi Automations Pvt Ltd visited Sahyadri to conduct a Campus Recruitment Drive for the Engineering students of 2019 outgoing batch & also 2018 passed out Batch. A four-member recruitment team, headed by Mr. Sandeep Senan - Director were at the campus to facilitate the recruitment process.
A total of 160 students attended the drive & the results are awaited.

Mahindra Auto Quotient (AQ) - Season 10

Mahindra & Mahindra visited Sahyadri to conduct AQ Quiz for engineering students of all branches. Around 300 students participated in the online Quiz and the results are awaited. Sahyadri is one of the Nodal Centres for conducting Mahindra AQ Quiz in Mangalore, DK and Udupi region.

First Year Engineering Students will be participating in “Innovision” at NIT Rourkela

A total of 15 students from First Year Engineering - Section J are all set to participate in events such as Robo Sumo, Hoveron, Tread-I-Quest at “Innovision”, a Technical Fest in NIT Rourkela which will be held during 2nd to 4th November’18. The students are mentored by Dtlabz - Shibani Pinto from 2nd year Computer Science & Engineering and Oliver Bangera from 2nd year Mechanical Engineering. Sahyadri wishes Good Luck to the team.

• Blood Donation Camp
Sahyadri College NSS Unit in association with KMC Hospital and HDFC Bank will be organizing a blood donation camp in commemoration of Rastriya Ekta Diwas from 10:00am onwards at the first floor seminar hall. All the students and faculty who are interested to donate blood are requested to assemble at the venue.


• NSS Unit Inauguration and Leadership training programme
National Service Scheme for the academic year 2018-19 will be inaugurated at 3:00pm in the Ground Floor Seminar Hall by Prof. Yashavanth Gopal Shetty, Principal, Mangalore Institute of Fire and Safety, Former Aircraft Technician in the Indian Air Force. After the inaugural, a Leadership Training Programme will be facilitated by Prof. Yashavanth Gopal Shetty for the NSS Volunteers.
