This team is mentored by Mr. Nihal Sanil from Second year Mechanical Engineering. The students will be participating in events such as I-Bot and I-Auction.

First Year Engineering students to participate in 'graVITas-19' at Vellore Institute of Technology, Tamilnadu A total of 21 first year engineering students of Clan Mudita will be participating in graVITas’19, a Technical Fest to be held during 11th to 13th Oct’19 at Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, Tamilnadu. This team is mentored by Mr. Sumanth from Second year Information Science & Communication Engineering and Mr. Akhilesh from Second year Computer Science & Engineering. The students will be participating in events such as Aeromodelling, Navigation Bootcamp, De-melt, Chem-e-light, Suspendo, Chem-e-car and Auto painting.

Sahyadri signs an MoU with AIESEC INDIA for International InternshipsSahyadri signs an MoU with AIESEC INDIA for International Internships With the prime objective of encouraging International Internships for students, Sahyadri has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with AIESEC INDIA providing a global platform for young people to explore and develop leadership potential. The MoU formalizes the mutual interaction and strengthens the relationship between Sahyadri and AIESEC by providing students with the opportunity to live a shared responsibility for the world and equip them with the tools to shape it for a better future. It shall also, focus on creating a youth movement to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals by the year 2030.

This MoU was signed by Dr. R Srinivasa Rao Kunte, Principal and Dr. Anush Bekal, In-charge Industry Connect with Mr. Dhruvraaj Singh Rajvee, Business Expansions Head and Mr. Manan Shah, Entrepreneurship Exchanges In-charge of AIESEC (C/o Manipal Academy of Higher Education, MIT campus, Manipal).

AIESEC is a non-governmental not-for-profit organization in consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) affiliated with the UN DPI, a member of ICMYO, and is recognized by UNESCO. AIESEC International Inc. is registered as a Not-for-profit Organisation under the Canadian Not-for-profit Corporations Act - 2018-02-08, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

The take away from the talk includes why to choose IT, Types of Companies, Application work flow, Application Stack, Scum team, Soft skills. The speaker also gave insights on the major industry projects.

Mr. Akash started his career in Evry India and worked for 4 years. He is now working for a US-based company named ThermoFisher Scientific, Bengaluru.

Notification from - Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) NEAT Logo Contest

Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has conceptualized National Education Alliance for Technologies (NEAT) as a Scheme for using technology to make learning more personalized and customized. NEAT would deliver Education Technology solutions directly to the students and educational institutions, through a National NEAT portal, giving learners a wide choice to select the technological solution that would suit their requirement, thereby, improving their overall learning outcomes.

To give a visual identity to the Scheme, MHRD is inviting entries for logo design, which may convey the purpose of NEAT.

Theme for Logo: Quality Education, Technology, Alliance, Adaptive learning, Artificial Intelligence. The Logo can be in full name format (National Educational Alliance for Technology) or abbreviation format (NEAT) or both.

Last date for submission is 25th October 2019.

Introduction of the Mentor:

Dr. Nalini E Rebello is the Head and Professor at the Dept. of Civil Engineering. She is an academician with overall 18 years of teaching experience which includes 5 years of Research and 5 years of Administrative experience. She is a Life member of IGS, ICI, IEI and ISTE. Dr. Nalini E Rebello has published many papers in International journals and Conferences of repute.

Introduction of the Mentees:
• A Manoj Kumar is from Kavoor, Mangaluru. He pursued his SSLC from Noble High School, Kunjathbail, Mangaluru and PUC from Dr NSAM PU College, Nanthoor. His hobbies are playing and watching cricket, badminton and pencil sketching. His ambition is to be an Entrepreneur.
• Naveen S Ramageri is from Beeri, Kotekar. He pursued his SSLC from Carmel Higher Primary School and PUC from St Aloysius Pre University College, Mangaluru. Naveen loves to paint and play cricket. He wants to join Defence services after graduation.
• Muhammed Thabriz is from Pandeshwar, Mangaluru. He pursued his SSLC from Yenepoya School and PUC from Mahesh PU College, Mangaluru. His hobbies are listening to Music and Photo editing. He wants to be a successful Civil Engineer.
• Suraj is from Mangaluru. He pursued his SSLC from Sacred Heart’s High School, Kulshekar, Mangaluru and PUC from Padua Pre-University College, Nanthoor. He has a passion for sports - cricket and athletics in specific. Suraj wants to help underprivileged children by training them in sports.

Not a problem, since it's a fun based hackathon, we let you use any means to solve the problem statement (including MIT App Inventor, Thunkable, Scratch etc) also we'll provide you a mentor to guide you throughout the hackathon.

We'll assign you a team. You can have up to 4 people in a team.
