Commemoration of Gandhi Jayanthi and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Birth Anniversary

In commemoration of Gandhi Jayanthi and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri's birth anniversary, the staff paid homage to the two great leaders of our nation.
Prof. S.S. Balakrishna, Vice-Principal, addressed the gathering and spoke about the ideologies of these great leaders and encouraged the audience to inculcate them in their lives. A quiz competition was conducted by Sahyadri NSS Unit for the student volunteers on the life of Mahatma Gandhi and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji and the winners were awarded.

The students and staff took part in the Swacch Sahyadri Shramdaan and cleaned the campus. Sahyadri applauds the selfless service rendered by staff and students.

Dream Kit, a product from DTi Labz Private Limited emerges as Winner at Manthan 2020

Dream Kit, a product from DTi Labz Private Limited, a Sahyadri Startup company has won Third Prize in Manthan 2020 held at the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FKCCI), Bengaluru on 30th Sept’2020.
After competing with over 240 teams from all over Karnataka and clearing through three rounds of screening by a panel of over 39 juries consisting of FKCCI members and leading industrialists, the team was declared to be the second runners up of the Manthan Biz Pitch event organized by Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industries, Bengaluru.
Mr. Akarsh Shetty and Mr. Ramkishor of DTi Labz presented Dream Kit to the Grand Jury and Shri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji, head of Adichunchanagiri Math, in the award ceremony.
Founded by Sir M. Vishveshvarayya, FKCCI is driven with a mission to promote the cause of Trade and Industries in Karnataka, give necessary guidance to members, help frame policies, and deliberate on matters of regulation and taxation.
Dream Kit is an educational kit for young minds to learn, play and create. The team at DTi Labz is progressively working towards building Dream kit as a complete platform for inspiring kids to create and reinvent their world.

Bridge Course 2020 Second Batch – Day Ten

The last day i.e. the Day Ten of Bridge Course included events like presentation and the mega event. The morning session had presentation where the students explained their journey in the last 10 days. In the afternoon the students witnessed the most awaited event of Bridge Course, the mega event.
In the final showdown all the teams competed against each other to finish the challenge at the shortest time using the Robots built in the last 10 days.
Ultimately the 10 days journey of Bridge Course wrapped with lot of learning and experience.

Faculty attends National Level FDP on “Incorporating Universal Human Values in Education” conducted By AICTE

Prof. Akshaya Kumari Shetty, Dept. of Business Administration-MBA, attended an online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled “Incorporating Universal Human Values in Education” conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) from 21 - 25 Sept’2020.
The FDP was about fulfillment in our practical day-to-day life. Deep down, every human being wants to live with continuous fulfillment for a conducive environment. Education is expected to facilitate the realisation of these aspirations – by helping the student to develop a holistic perspective of harmony and developing the right skills for living in harmony.
The FDP saw a participation of 967 faculties of engineering and management colleges from all over India.
This initiative of AICTE needs to be taken up by every teacher to bring human values in education. According to this, for each twenty students, one lecturer should be appointed as a UHV mentor.
Prof. Akshaya Shetty has submitted participation polls, quizzes, tests, pre & post workshop surveys.
