‘The Geek Streak’ a two day workshop held in the Campus

As per the direction of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Mangalore University Dr. Navin N Bappalige, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics has been nominated as a member to the ‘Academic Council’ of Mangalore University. As he has served as a principal for five years in an affiliated degree college and has a total of seventeen years of experience in various capacities, for the next two years he will be part of proceedings of the academic council, a decision making body of the Mangalore University. It is a great honour for the College.

Air Show by Dreamers

The third semester students of the Department of Business Administration visited Cochin and Munnar. The team visited Kanan Devan Hills Plantations Company (P) Ltd, located in Munnar and the shop floor of Anna Aluminium. The visit exposed the students to the various aspects of production. The students involved themselves in thorough discussion with the unit officials. The visit was highly appreciated by the student community. The students were accompanied by Dr. Vishal Samartha, Ms. Shilpa Shetty, Mr. Abhay Kumar and Mr. Karthik Kudroli.

Tomorrow at Sahyadri

‘AEnCES’, Association of Electronics and Communication Engineering Students for the academic year 2014-15 will be inaugurated at 10:00 A.M in the Auditorium. Dr. Jose Alex Mathew, HoD, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, PA College of Engineering, Mangalore will be the Chief Guest.


Mr. P. Suresh Addresses students of MBA

Department of Business administration organized a guest lecture for the HR specialization students of the department. Mr. P. Suresh, Senior manager-HR, Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd, Mangalore was the resource person. He addressed the students on the Components of CTC, Various Legislation Governing Wage and Salary Administration. He also spoke on the Procedure of Wage Settlements and Enterprise Resource Planning for HR. Mr. P. Suresh also agreed for two internships for HR specialization students at MCF, Mangalore. The guest lecture was initiated by Dr.Vishal Samartha, Associate Professor, Department of Business Administration.

Sahyadri Talent

Dhanusha, Semester I, Mechanical Engineering, is a national level athlete. She has participated in State Amateur Meets. She has bagged first prize in Chess Tournament held at the district level. She has also bagged the silver medal in Long Jump at the State Meet held at Davanagere. She has participated in Kabaddi and Kho-Kho tournaments held at the state level. She has participated and has won many prizes in various school, sub-district district level, State level Dance, Quiz, Debate, Essay, Poem Writing, Vachanamratha, and Elocution Competitions and Chinthana Exams.
