Pool Campus Drive by Indian Navy

Indian Navy visited Sahyadri to conduct the pool campus recruitment for pre final year engineering male candidates. Cdr C. Nand Mohan , Lt. Cdr Deepak Kumar & Lt. Sonu George from Indian Navy conducted the recruitment process. One hundred and fifty engineering students from Mangalore region attended the drive. The selection process involved a group discussion and face-to-face interaction. This will be followed by five days SSB interview for shortlisted candidates. The salary will be in a range of 7.8 Lakhs per annum.

Press Meet Organized to Brief the Projects of the Students

The press meet was organized in the college to brief the projects of the students and the support mechanism including the funding. Dr. U. M. Bhushi, the principal welcomed the gathering and introduced the activities of the students. Prof. Abdul Kareem, Head, department of Projects and Funding described the projects of the students in different fields and the supporting mechanism. He briefed about the vision of the chairman Dr. Manjunath Bhandary and his support for the students’ activities, department of Projects and Funding, Student Project Support Scheme (SPSS) funded by Sahyadri to a tune of Rs. 25 Lakhs, Techvision and Eximius. Dr. A. J. Antony, Vice Principal was present on the occasion. The achievers of the International Conference at IISC, demonstrated the projects to the press and media personals.

Obituary

Sahyadri family deeply mourns the sad demise of our student, Mr. Gurunath Agnimath (19 years), Semester III of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. May his soul rest in peace and the Almighty give his family the strength to bear this loss.


Faculty member invited as resource person

Mrs. Gayathri Shetty, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration was invited by MSNM Besant Institute of PG studies to deliver a guest lecture on ‘Communication and Career in Banking’. She addressed the third semester PG students on the dynamics of communication, general etiquettes, professionalism, inter personal skills, group dynamics and the array of opportunities in banking sector.


Sahyadri Talent

Ravali G, Semester I, Electronics and Communication Engineering, is an upcoming artist. She has participated and has won many prizes in various school, sub-district and district level Drawing and Dancing Competitions. She is also an upcoming athlete and won prizes in Volleyball and Shuttle Badminton, Tournaments held at the school Level. She has won Second Prize in National level Karate tournament.
