Teachers’ Week – Day 1:
 “Manthana” (Our Walk towards Change) an association of likeminded Sahyadrians on the occasion of Teachers’ Day conducted Quiz and Mehendi Competitions in the Campus.
The team Five Stars comprising of Mrs. Usha S., Aptra Infotech, Mr. Manish, Sahyadri Nursing College and Mr. Sachidananda, Department of Computer Applications won the First prize. The second place was bagged by the team Quiz Busters comprising of Mrs. Marie Fernandes, Aptra Infotech, Mrs. Lakshmi Shetty, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Mr. Supreet Prabhu, Department of Civil Engineering.
Mrs. Mehnaz Begum, Department of Computer Science, has bagged first place in Mehendi competition. Whereas, Mrs. Aysha, Department of Mathematics and Ms. Krithi, Department of Chemistry have bagged second and third place, respectively.
Around fifteen candidates participated in the Quiz Competition and seven participated in Mehendi Competition. Ms. Samra and Ms. Saura, the alumni were the judges of mehendi competition. It was an amalgamation of Teaching and non - teaching staff from Sahyadri Pre university, Nursing and Engineering college. Participation of the Dean Academic in Quiz Competition and Participation of the Staff with their student partners in mehendi competition; Staff applying Mehendi for the students were the highlights of the programme. Mr. Sambhav and team, Semester III, Department of Electronics & Communication conducted the Quiz competition which they named it as GURU – For Teachers and Ms. Kavya and team, Semester III conducted the Mehendi competition. Mrs. Irene Vegas, Principal, Sahyadri Nursing College and many teaching and non – teaching faculty cheered the participants.

Tomorrow at Sahyadri
In connection with the teachers’ day celebration, Manthana has organized Debate and Creative Writing competitions for teaching and non teaching staff members of Sahyadri Educational Institutions at 4:00 P.M. in the seminar hall (first floor). All the departments of Engineering, Nursing and Pre University Staff can enroll themselves for various competitions at [email protected]
