Brahmachari Aathmaroopa Chaithanya Pays Visit to the Campus

The system of education is churning out scores of people brilliant in their respective fields but unsuccessful in building happy fulfilling lives. Inorder to orient the youth Ramakrishna Math, Mangalore, is organising ‘Shraddha- a Symposium on Education for Life Management’, for the students on the 9th of September 2015.

‘Prajna- A Symposium for the college faculty will be organised on the 11th of September 2015, providing an apt platform to discuss and reflect on the Ancient Contemporary and New- Gen Education Systems.

Brahmachari Aathmaroopa Chaithanya visits Sahyadri to brief on the events and invited the faculty and the students.

Pool Campus Drive at Sahyadri
The Vice President, P.G. Manjunatha, Human Resource & Mr. C. P. Rajarajan, Vice President, Domestic Sales from Maiyas Beverages & Foods Private Limited will be visiting the campus on the 3rd of September, 2015 for pool campus recruitment Drive to recruit students for the position of MBA Sales Trainee.

Maiyas Beverages And Foods Private Limited offers ready-to-eat food. It also owns and operates processed foods and the restaurant business divisions. The processed foods segment has approximately 50 varieties of savories and 200 varieties of sweets. The company also exports these products to Japan. The company was founded in 1988 and is based in Bangalore, India.


Dr. Ganesh Kannarpady from the University of Arkansas Visits Sahyadri


Dr. Ganesh Kannarpady from the Nano-Centre, University of Arkansas, Little Rock, visited the campus and shared his research experience with the core research group. He interacted with the researchers and stated that there are three main areas in which the current research is going on in the University of Arkansas:

a) Introduction of super-hydrophobicity for de-icing of aircrafts.
b) Solar electrochemical cells for generation of hydrogen as fuel for fuel cells.
c) Development of micro/nano channels on surfaces for the early detection of cancer using surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy.
He proposed that he would be happy to collaborate with Sahyadri researchers in the future. He also appreciated the beauty of the Campus and its ambience.

Dr. Ganesh Kannarpady, an alumnus of Mangalore University, obtained his Ph.D. from Mangalore University in 2002 under Prof. Jayagopal Uchil. After his Ph.D. he was a Post Doctoral Fellow at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai. At present he is working at the newly formed Nano-Centre, University of Arkansas, Little Rock.
