Prof. Dr. Vinod Rajamani, Professor at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Germany interacted with Mechanical Engineering DepartmentProf. Dr. Vinod Rajamani, Professor at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Germany interacted with Mechanical Engineering Department Dr. Vinod Rajamani, Professor, Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Germany had an interactive session with the students and staff of Mechanical Engineering on 17th Sep’19. In his talk, Prof Vinod extensively dwelt on higher studies and job opportunities in Germany. He also spoke extensively on the impact of sociopolitical climate, economics and qualifications on career choices. He also spoke on the latest trends in automotive sector and called on students to take up research in the field of automotive electronics.

Directors of a Non-Profit organization in Varanasi visited Sahyadri for discussion on Social Impact Projects Ms. Tara Celli from California, USA and Ms. Kiran Pal from Varanasi were at the campus to discuss on extended activities for their Social Impact Project. Both are the Directors of a Non-Profit Organization named – ‘Strength India’ in Varanasi. They are also the Founders of ‘WanderFree Traders Pvt Ltd.’, an import, export and wholesale business.

Tara is a Graduate in Sociology and came to India for her societal-impact research work. Kiran is a B.Ed. holder and has also done her M.Com. She is a Yoga Teacher as well. Both are into the business of manufacturing Sanitary Pads under the Brand – ‘(em) PowerPads’ and discussed their business proposal with the Sahyadri Team. Mr. Santhosh Kumar, Proprietor of Fringe Elite, Mangaluru introduced them to Sahyadri.

Induction Programme for MBA Batch 2019Induction Programme for MBA Batch 2019 On 17th Sep’19, the day two of the Induction Programme, Mr. Sunil Stephen, Co-founder of Trattoria Restaurant, Munchbox Catering and Stephen Bosco Architecture and Design shared his failure & success story. He emphasized on Self-belief, Realities of life, Value people and not money, Life is not easy, Perseverance – Never Give Up attitude. He urged students to nurture their business ideas and take it to the closure.

The next session was facilitated by Mr. Johnson Tellis, Founder of DREAMERZ. He shared his journey from being a student of Sahyadri till an entrepreneur in Sahyadri Campus. He recalled the contributions of his team mates in building DREAMERZ. He emphasized on Team Building, choose right person and develop a long-term bonding with them. The last session of the day was by Mr. Sushil Gupta, Soft Skills Trainer who conducted an Activity-based session on ‘Product Launch’. Students had to present their product and received feedback from him.

Nathaniel is also the Vice-Captain of the Sahyadri Mozilla club and a Founding-member/Design Head of Sahyadri Open-Source Community (SOSC)- A community, driven by tech enthusiasts and open-source contributors, to help young students to be part of the open-source ecosystem by providing training and skill development.
