Caliper starts manufacture of Rolling Stock Products for Mumbai Metro
During Covid induced Lockdown, Caliper was awarded with an order for major rolling stock products for Mumbai Metro, based on which engineering planning was done and raw materials were manufactured out of steel forgings.
Now Caliper has started In-house CNC machining of the first batch of 1,500 sets. Best shop floor practices are being adopted during this manufacturing time, which will be great learning experience for students.
Caliper is an In-house industry of Sahyadri, engaged in manufacturing goods to Metro Railways, Nuclear, Defence and Aerospace.
Day-Five of Bridge Course 2020 for the Engineering Aspirants
Day-Five included Basic Electronics & Introduction to Arduino programming, Design Thinking and Campus Tour. During the morning session, students were given an introduction to electronic components for understanding the concepts. Later they were introduced to Open-source Electronic Prototyping platform - Arduino and created small projects using different components like LDR, Ping, Servo etc. The session was conducted by the trainer Mr. Gagandeep B.
In the afternoon the students were divided into two batches. The first batch led by Mr. Gautham Nayak introduced the students through the concept of Design Thinking and Pitching. The second batch led by the trainer Mr. Swastik Kotian and Ms. Ashwija guided the students through the campus to introduce them to the facilities and infrastructure of Sahyadri.
