Sahyadrians Recruited by BYJU’S for a Salary Package of INR 10 Lakhs Per Annum
Vaibhavi and Fathimath Beevi, students of Information Science & Engineering from the 2020 Batch are recruited for the position of Business Development Trainee at BYJU’S – The Learning App with a Salary Package of INR 10 Lakhs Per Annum.
All the rounds of interview were conducted online.
Day-Seven of Bridge Course 2020 for the Engineering Aspirants
Day-Seven of Bridge Course included programming of Line Follower and Automated Robots. The students were divided into two groups.
During the Morning Session the first group assembled and programmed the Line Follower and the second group assembled the RC-Bots. The session was conducted by Mr. Akarsh Shetty and Mr. Swastik Kotian.
During the Afternoon Session led by Ms. Shibani Pinto, the first group completed their admission process and the second group programmed their RC-Bots.
Innovation Team sets out on an Industry Visit to Indo Fisheries
As part of the Social Innovation Program, Mr. Gautham Nayak, Program Head, Centre for Social Innovation, Mr. Gouse Khan, Manager NAIN, and Mr. Prajwal Shetty, Final Year student of Mechanical Engineering visited Indo Fisheries, Harekala, Mangaluru on 10th Sept’2020.
The team interacted with Mr. Shankara Gouda S.H., Manager regarding Social Innovation Program and the facilities available on campus which could nurture ideas to solve industrial defined problem statements.
Mr. Shankara explained the various processes that a fish undergoes at Indo Fisheries processing industry. He also stressed the need for developing machines for the Indian context. The team has received problem statements from the industry with regards to the need for a scanning and descaling machine that can improve the efficiency in the processing line.
ACM-Sahyadri organizes a Workshop on "Basics of Git and GitHub"
A Workshop was organized by ACM-Sahyadri for the members of ACM-Sahyadri on "Basics of Git and GitHub" on 12th Sept’’2020. The workshop was facilitated by H. Uttam Kini, a student of 3rd Year Information & Science Engineering.
The Workshop stressed on applications of the Git Version Control System and how it is now a mandatory aspect for developers at Tech-Industries. Git and GitHub Commands were executed for both local and remote purposes. The resolution of conflicts between the two or more code-files was also discussed.
Further, the importance of Open-Sourcing and encouragement to participation in Hacktoberfest was made and the session went well with all participants.

KPMG conducted a Virtual Campus Recruitment Drive for the students of Information Science and Computer Science Engineering of 2020 outgoing batch. They are looking for the students who would be interested to work in their Cloud project.
Results are awaited.
