Dept. of Mechanical Engineering conducts a Virtual Webinar on “What Industry needs from Engineering Graduates"
Dept. of Mechanical Engineering in collaboration with Conceptia Konnect conducted a virtual Webinar on “What Industry needs from Engineering Graduates" on 4th Sep’2020. Over 125 Mechanical Engineering students from all the semesters participated in the Webinar. Mr. Vinay S., Manager-Education & Training, Conceptia Konnect was the Resource Person.
Post this an Online quiz was conducted to choose the best performer. Rithin B. Nambiar, Student of Third Year Mechanical Engineering scored the highest points and won a Training Voucher worth Rs. 2600/-.

MBA Faculty invited by Handicrafts Promotion Officer, Mangaluru to guide Artisans
Prof. Girish Madla, Dept. of Business Administration-MBA was invited by Mr. A. Hasan, Handicrafts Promotion Officer, Mangaluru for an Interactive Meet with the artisans at Aloor Village near Kundapura and Kumbhasi.
Aloor Village is known for Terracota products manufactured by around 50-70 families of the village. The artisans are currently facing problems in marketing their products and also facing many other challenges. A few artisans were handed over with Artisans ID Card and the remaining were asked to apply for the same.
Prof. Girish addressed the artisans and advised them to form a society in order to get more benefits from the Govt. He also informed the artisans about the need to innovate and look at the current requirements of customers and also focus more on quality in products. Mr. A. Hasan, spoke about the various schemes offered by Government of India.
Both Prof. Girish and Mr. Hasan interacted with the artisans making products from Bamboo at Kumbhasi.
