Faculty Members Contribute Technical Chapter for Springer Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing (AISC) Book Series

Mr. Bharath Bhushan, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Mr. Steven Lawrence Fernandes, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering contribute a technical chapter titled "A Novel Integer Representation-Based Approach for Classification of Text Documents" for Springer Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing (AISC) book series, volume 469, pages 557-564.

This chapter illustrates a combined approach for representation and classification of text. Integer representation is achieved using ASCII values of the each integer and further linear regression is applied for efficient classification of text documents. An extensive experimentation using nearest neighbour supervised learning algorithms on four publicly available databases to validate the efficiency of the proposed technique.
