Sahyadri files patent in path breaking innovation achieving <3 cm resolution navigation system

Sahyadri files patent in path breaking innovation achieving <3 cm resolution navigation system With Industry 4.0 emerging, Auto Navigation Vehicle (AGV) is currently an area of immense interest. Positioning determination is a key challenge in AGV systems. Many technologies exist in determination of position like Wifi, Bluetooth, Ultrawide Band, Ultrasound and RFID. These technologies have merits and limitations like accuracy, range, tracking and so on.

Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management filed this patent that allows precision positioning determination with resolution less than 3 cm. This is an outcome of Industry and Academic collaboration. Team from Sahyadri and RDL jointly created this innovation.

Precision position systems finds application across domains, mainly Auto Guided Vehicle for manufacturing, retail, Healthcare, Hospitality, Utility and equipments that operate in hazardous environment.

Going forward, the team plans to extend this advantage of accurate position estimation to customers by integrating this technique onto products and solutions.
