Webinar: “India First Leadership Talk Series” organized by MHRD Innovation Cell & AICTE
 MHRD Innovation Cell (MIC) in association with AICTE organized the "India First Leadership Talk Series" by Mr. Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group which was streamed Live for the students and faculty in the campus.
Mr. Anand Mahindra inspired the budding leaders through his real life stories.

VTU Local Inquiry Committee (LIC) visits Sahyadri
A Six-Member VTU Local Inquiry Committee (LIC) visited Sahyadri. They met all the department heads and inspected the Departments for the purpose of Reporting.
Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) organized by MHRD Innovation Cell & AICTE in association with K-Tech Innovation Hub
Dr. Arun M Isloor, Professor & HOD (Dept of Chemistry) NITK, Surathkal facilitated a workshop on IPR for Faculty & Students. This is an initiative of MHRD Innovation Cell & AICTE in association with K-Tech Innovation Hub.
Dr. Arun remembered his visit to Sahyadri last year during the same time for Sahyadri Science Conclave and how he considers it to be an “Evergreen Memory”.

First year engineering students secured Third place in micro-mouse event of 'Shaastra' at IIT Madras
Fourteen students of first year engineering clan ‘Samagratha’ participated in 'Shaastra', an Annual Technical Fest organized by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras and secured third place in the micro-mouse event.

He also requested the parents to join hands with the educational institutions to shape up the career of current generation. His Holiness Paramapoojya Jagadguru Shri Shri Shri Nirmalanandanatha Maha Swamiji, in his address briefed the audience about the innovative methods adopted by Sahyadri Institution to impart Engineering and Management education to the students. Mr. Manjunath Bhandary was felicitated by Swamiji during the annual day event. Mr. Mahabaleshwara M S, MD & CEO of Karnataka Bank; Mr. Arun Chakravarthy, IGP for Mangaluru Western Range; Shri Shri Dharmapalanatha Swamiji were the other dignitaries present for the annual day event of BGS Institution, Mangaluru.
Sahyadri Team visits VRAIO Software Solutions Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru for Industry internship and exposure
As a part of industry exposure and internship, the Faculty for Industry Connect from Sahyadri & the team from Aptra Technologies visited the VRAIO Software Solutions Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru. A Ten-Day internship has been scheduled effective 10th Jan’19. On the first day, the team interacted with the HR and Software Testing Lead who briefed them regarding the HR process for recruitment, the employee benefits, HR Policy, the company profile, clients and their upcoming projects.
VRAIO Software Solutions Pvt Ltd is a web and mobile based company with Analytical Solutions, that offers the best development, support and services. The company was formed in 2012 which has skills and expertise on modern technologies and tools to facilitate complex business solutions.
MBA Students visit Mangalore City Corporation and Mangalore Smart City Project Office
Students of MBA visited Mangalore City Corporation to get an exposure to the administration and governance system of Mangalore city. A total of 9 MBA students under the mentorship of Mr. Ankith S Kumar, Student Counsellor visited various departments at MCC namely the revenue department, engineering department, water supply department, drainage maintenance section, licensing authority and Smart City planning office. The students interacted with Ms Nagajyothi V Naik, District Officer KVIB and Mr. Nagaraj M KAS, Joint Managing Director, Smart City Project. This visit aimed at providing the MBA students with an exposure to the administrative and governance process of various projects and departments.

Sixty one students were selected by Wipro Limited which is the highest in Karnataka, in the recently held campus recruitment drive for the 2019 outgoing batch. The package offered is Rs.3,50,000/- per annum for the role of Project Engineer.

'Sahyadri Wanderers', a Team of MBA at Rajasthan
'Sahyadri Wanderers' - Dr. Sharan Shetty, Dept. of Business Administration along with his mentees were at one of the Top Indian B-Schools - Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Udaipur. The team had an opportunity to interact with the CEO, Directors, HR personnel and the students of the institution. They also covered industries like Hindusthan Zink and Rock Star. The team also experienced Camel Safari and Jeep Safari at Jaisalmer.
They also visited TAPMI School of Business-Manipal University at Jaipur. This visit has brought into light that there is great synergy between the Sahyadri Mentor System and the TAPMI School of Business Buddy System. There was a healthy interaction between both the B-Schools. The team had an opportunity to interact with President/Vice Chancellor and Registrar of the university and other people in the top management. While interacting, the management of Manipal University appreciated the Mentor-Mentee system at Sahyadri.
The team also went to the Legislative Assembly Bhavan and interacted with ministers and top officials. They had a healthy discussion on Politics and Management which brought out the essence of “Effective politics through best management practices”. The officials were impressed with the Sahyadri Mentor-Mentee System and have expressed their interest to visit Sahyadri and view the institution-lead start-ups.

MBA students along with their mentors - Dr. Vishal Samartha, Prof. Prajwala Rodrigues and Prof. Guruprasad Rao visited Kwality Photonics Pvt. Ltd. situated in Hyderabad. This company is into production of LED segments and LED since 25 years. It has 10,000 customers and enjoys highest customer loyalty. The company has highest market share in India and the 1st company in the country to produce LED. It has received Corporate Award for Best Performance in Electronic Components in MSME category. It has signed MOU with Telangana Government to produce 3 billion LEDs per annum with an investment of 200 crores.
