Sahyadri Ranked 90th in All India Ranking of Top Private Engineering Colleges
Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management has been ranked 90th in the All India Ranking of Top Private Engineering Colleges and 61st in the South Zone research survey by The Week Magazine and Hansa 2016 for its knowledge-oriented teaching which is at the core of the pedagogy in India’s best colleges as per the survey.

Mr. Purushothama C T appointed as HOD for UG and Mr. Umesh S S appointed as HOD for PG in Civil Engineering Department
 
Mr. Purushothama C T, Associate Professor has been appointed as HOD for the UG course and Mr. Umesh S S, Associate Professor will take over as HOD for the PG course in the Civil Engineering Department w.e.f. 17.06.2016. Dr U M Bhushi, Principal and Prof UmaShankar B S, Dean Academic, congratulated them and wished them all success in their new roles.

Dr. C. K. Manjunath Invited as Resource Person by NSAM P U College
 Dr. C. K. Manjunath, Administrator & Prof. of Humanities was invited as the resource person by NSAM P U College, Nitte Education Trust, Mangalore, to conduct a refresher course for first PU students on how to plan a two-year career at PU level, method of study, question paper pattern and what after PU. Around 200+ science students were present. There was a student interaction after the session.

MBA Faculty Members Attend Faculty Enhancement Programme
Eight MBA faculties attended a one-week Faculty Enhancement Programme titled “Innovative Approaches in Management Teaching” at the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. The programme brought better awareness about advanced technology available today at the disposal of a management faculty and also helped in rational choice of one or more of these pedagogies. This programme fostered innovative teaching skills in the faculty of management institutions. The skills include activities, situation handling, projects, movies, videos, social media etc. In addition, the programme polished the teachers skill in the use of case studies, simulations, role-plays etc.
With its roots dating back to 1996, the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) was the fifth IIM to be established in the country. The institute has since grown tremendously over the years with current batch strength of 356 odd students, making it the fastest growing management school in the country.

As per orders all KSRTC Limited/Express/Shuttle Buses to Stop at Sahyadri
As per the orders received from the KSRTC, Mangaluru and Puttur Division, all the KSRTC buses (Limited/Express/Shuttle) traversing the route Mangalore/Puttur/ Dharmasthala/Uppinangady/Vittal via Sahyadri will be providing stops for pickup and drop in front of the college. All Sahyadrians are requested to make use of the same. It has taken a lot of time and effort and co-operation from various people to get this facility for the benefit of Sahyadrians as well as the local people in the area.
One can now flag down the buses in case they don’t stop. The student bus pass is applicable for Express and Limited Stop buses and in case the staff of any KSRTC bus refuses to stop, note the number of the bus and inform the matter to the following persons: Divisional Traffic Officer(DTO), KSRTC, Mangaluru on 7760990702 and Divisional Traffic Officer(DTO), KSRTC, Puttur, on 7760990902.

CET documents verification in full swing
The College is seeing a steady stream of students visiting the CET Documents Verification Centre recently inaugurated at Sahyadri. The CET documents verification process will continue up to the 20th of June 2016.

Tech Mahindra Pool Campus Recruitment Drive
Mr. Nayeem Shariff, Talent Acquisition Team, Tech Mahindra, facilitated the entire process of the Tech Mahindra pool campus recruitment drive for the engineering students of the 2016 batch. Two students have been selected by the company.

Tetherfi Technologies Pool Campus Recruitment Drive
Tetherfi Technologies Pvt. Ltd. conducted a pooled campus recruitment drive for the engineering students of 2016 batch in the campus. Ms. Jyotika, Human Resource, Tetherfi Technologies, accompanied by the panelists on the recruitment team was at the campus to facilitate the entire process. Over 105 students participated in the drive. The results are awaited.
