E&C Faculty presents a Research Paper in an International Conference at UEM, Kolkata
Prof. Kiran Kumar V G, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering presented a paper titled “Implementation and Analysis of Analysis of Cryptographic Ciphers in FPGA” in the International Conference on Emerging Technologies in Data Mining and Information Security- IEMIS 2018 at UEM, Kolkata. The conference was organized by School of Information Technology, Institute of Engineering & Management Group, India and sponsored by Springer NSERB, DST and IEEE Kolkata Section.
Campus Recruitment Drive - Evobi Automations Pvt Ltd-Bibox Labs
Evobi Automations Pvt Ltd-Bibox Labs visited Sahyadri to conduct Pool Campus Recruitment Drive for the Engineering students of 2018 outgoing batch. A total of 172 students attended the drive, out of which 8 Students got selected.

ACM chapter of NITK in association with Mozilla hosted Rust for under graduate students, a Technical event for NITians. The Tech Speaker for the event was Mr. Ranveer Agrawal from Microsoft & Mr. Krishna Kumar from Thoughtworks. The audience was a mix of Mtech, IT, Computer Science Departments of NITK campus.
Manjesh shetty (Regional Coordinator, Mozilla) from Information Science & Engineering of Sahyadri was one of main organizer from Mozilla for the event. Additionally, two students - Akshay Bhat from Information Science & Engineering & Musthaq from Computer Science & Engineering were selected from our institute for the Tech Speaker Campaign 2018.
Campus Recruitment Drive - Karvy India
Karvy India visited Sahyadri to conduct Campus Recruitment Drive for the Engineering students of 2018 outgoing batch. A total of 208 students attended the drive, out of which 17 students have been selected.
Faculty attend a Three-Day training at RIMSE, Mysuru
Staff members of Sahyadri are attending a Three-Day training programme at Ramakrishna Institute of Moral and Spiritual Education, Mysuru. The day one of the training programme began with the inauguration ceremony for which Dr. Sudhakar James, the Principal of RIMSE was invited as the Chief Guest. He shared his experience and pointed out that impossible is just an opposite word for possible. Nothing is impossible in this world. Swami Maheshatmanandaji delivered the presidential address and Dr. Umesh M Bhushi, Principal while addressing the participants shared an anecdote which had a takeaway that - “Hearing the unheard is the greatest bliss”.
Holi celebrated at Sahyadri
 Holi is a springtime festival celebrated with lots of joy, to mark the end of winter. It is also known as festival of colors. Here at Sahyadri though it was no different. The campuswas soaked in myriad colours as scores of students,from seniors to newcomers celebrated Holi with joy and vigour.The campus abounded with much enthusiasm as students immersed themselves in fun and frolic, smearing colours at each other.
Sahyadri Whiz Quiz Prelims in Mangaluru
 Mahesh College of Management, Mangaluru has been winning various awards in inter-collegiate quiz competitions and now the competition has doubled with the entry of Mahesh College into the Grand Finale of Sahyadri Whiz Quiz on March 9th'18. Mr. Herald Mascarenhas, Principal has rendered his overwhelming support to the students and is positive about seeing his students in the final round. Prof. Sushma V, Dept. of Business Administration along with the MBA squad administered the college level round and picked up the 4 best teams.
Again, with the intent of getting quality teams to The Grand Finale of Sahyadri Whiz Quiz 2018, college level round was administered by Prof. Sushma V, Dept. of Business Administration along with MBA students at Sharada First Grade College, Mangaluru. A total of 4 teams have been shortlisted who will gain entry to the Grand Finale at Sahyadri. Mr. Balakrishna Bharadwaj, Principal was appreciative on seeing the transformation in their alumni who performed as Quiz Masters & volunteers in the college level quiz. Sahyadri MBA would be organizing a Faculty Development Programme for their faculty and Soft Skills Training for their students before the end of the semester.
Mr. Rajshekar Hebbar, Principal of Govt. First Grade College, Carstreet was overwhelmed when Sahyadri approached them to conduct Sahyadri Whiz Quiz as a community initiative to build a knowledgeable talent pool in their institution. Prof. Sushma V, Dept. of Business Administration with the MBA students organized Whiz Quiz and selected top 4 teams to participate in the Grand Finale at Sahyadri. The Principal has requested that Sahyadri collaborates with their institution in Student Development initiatives and the same would be carried out as an ongoing activity.
Sahyadri Whiz Quiz Prelims at Govt. First Grade College, Haleyangadi
Final year students pursuing B.Com at Govt. First Grade College, Haleyangadi participated in the preliminary rounds of Sahyadri Whiz Quiz 2018. Dr. Rashmi Kodikal & Prof. Deepak B E along with 8 student volunteers of the MBA Department administered the Written Quiz Round & conducted the College Level Quiz Round. A total of 4 teams would participate in the “Grand Finale - Sahyadri Whiz Quiz 2018” at Sahyadri. Prof. Ramanath, Principal, GFGC, Haleyangadi distributed the certificates, thanked Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management and also invited the students of MBA to conduct Aptitude based Training programme for the Final year degree students.
Sahyadri Whiz Quiz Prelims at SDM College & GFGC, Mudipu
Final year students pursuing B.Com, BBM, BCA & BHRD at SDM College of Business Management participated in the preliminary rounds of Sahyadri Whiz Quiz 2018. Dr. Rashmi Kodikal, Prof. Gayathri Shetty, Prof. Deepak B E, Prof. Samarth Shenoy administered the College Level Quiz Round. A total of 15 teams emerged as winners and have been invited to participate in the Grand Finale at Sahyadri Campus. Prof. Smitha M, SDM College coordinated the event and distributed the prizes.
Similarly, the prelims were also held in Government First Grade College, Mudipu. Dr. Rashmi Kodikal & Prof. Deepak B E conducted the College Level Quiz Round. A total of 4 teams emerged as winners and would be participating in the Grand Finale. Dr. Giridhar Rao, Principal of GFGC, Mudipu distributed the certificates and thanked Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management for conducting the Whiz quiz. Prof. Shubha, GFGC, Mudipu coordinated the college level rounds.

Final year students of Govt. First Grade College, Belthangady and Besant Evening College Mangalore registered for Sahyadri Whiz Quiz 2018. Prof. Padmanabha B along with MBA students administered the Written Quiz and the college level Quiz Round as quiz masters, timekeepers and scorekeepers. A total of eight teams emerged as winners and have been invited to participate in the “The Grand Finale - Sahyadri Whiz Quiz 2018” on 9thMarch 2018 at the Sahyadri Campus.
Sahyadri Whiz Quiz Prelims at Carmel College, Modankaup
 Sahyadri Whiz Quiz preliminary round was conducted by the Quiz Master Jeson Pinto and his team at Carmel College, Modankaup. The co-ordinator of the host college was Ms. Florene Menezes who assisted in all arrangements to execute the event. The programme was observed and guided by Dr. Vidyavathi and Prof. B. Raghavendra Prabhu from the Dept. of Business Administration.
Mr. Jagadish Poojary wins the Title - “Mr. Karnataka-2018” in State Level Body Building Competition
Mr. Jagadish Poojary, Sahyadri Multigymnasium trainer and staff member in the department of Mathematics won First prize in the ‘Mr. Karnataka -2018’ a State Level Body Building Competition held in Udupi. He has also been selected for National Level Body Building Competition -“Mr. India”.

Director-MBA attends BOE Meeting at St. Agnes Degree College, Mangaluru

Student Counsellor invited to Judge Best Manager Event at “Salvision 2018” in SVS College, Bantwal
Mr. Ankith S Kumar, Student Counsellor was invited to judge the candidates perform for Best Manager event of “Salvision 2018”, an inter-collegiate management fest organized by the PG Department of Shree Venkatarama Swamy College, Bantwal. He was the judge for two rounds of Best Manager- one being Case analysis and Role Play and the final stress interview round.
