Induction Programme for the first Sahyadri MBA Autonomous Batch 2021-23
Day Two (15th Feb, 2022):
The Second Day of the Induction programme for MBA students was facilitated by Dr. Ananth Prabhu, Official Consultant for Karnataka State Police for Cybercrimes. He enlightened the students about the various online scams and cybercrimes. He also gave insights on various dangerous websites and cyber laws.

The second session of the day was facilitated by Dr. Malini N Hebbar, Principal, Swasthika National School and a Guest Faculty at St. Agnes Center for PG studies. The session was on 'Communication Skills' which focused on key elements of communication. She spoke on general mistakes in communication. She emphasized on grammar, punctuation, pronunciation and other aspects related to communication.
MBA-Marketing Students complete Value Added Course on "Marketing Analytics"
Dept. of Business Administration-MBA organized a 6-Day course on "Marketing Analytics" for the MBA Marketing and Dual specialization students during 3rd to 5th & 10th to 12th Feb, 2022 facilitated by Ms. Kavitha Agasthya, Data Scientist working in Sutherland Global with vast experience in building data-intensive applications, overcoming complex architectural and scalability issues in diverse industries. At the end of the course a 3-hour assessment was held and all the 36 students have received the certificate of completion.
During the 6 days, concepts related to predictive modeling, data processing, sales prediction by using box & whisker chart, Recency, Frequency, Monetary (RFM) in excel and Market Mix Modeling were covered. Students are highly motivated after receiving the Marketing Analytics certification during their course of MBA.
ISE Department organizes a Webinar on "Application of Artificial Neural Network in Real time Projects"
Dept. of Information Science & Engineering in association with IEEE Student Branch- SCEM, STAISE, IEI and SAHYADRI-IIC organized a webinar on "Application of Artificial Neural Network in Real time projects". The resource person for the event was Ms. Ashmitha Alva, QA Test Engineer, IP Soft Global Private Limited (Alumna of ISE Dept.).
She explained about how Amelia, an autonomic framework for IT operation primarily focuses on artificial intelligence, cognitive and autonomic solutions for enterprises. She explained how enterprise-scale autonomic framework integrates IT operations and shared services. The platform integrates with Amelia to access the autonomic framework via a conversational interface.
A total of fifty four students participated in the webinar. Prof. Madhura N Hegde and Prof. Suchetha G, coordinated the event.
