Dept. of Mechanical Engineering conducts PAC Meeting

PAC The Programme Assessment Committee (PAC) Meeting of the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering was conducted on 21st January, 2022. Dr. Rathishchandra Gatti, Head of Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, presented the observations given by the NBA Expert Committee and briefed the committee on action plans that would be implemented. He also stated the accomplishments of AY 2020-21 highlighting student performance through result analysis, MOOC courses, placements, entrepreneurial activities, faculty performance through research and publications. The activities that were planned for the AY 2021-22 were also discussed. Dr. Nalini Rebello, Dean (Academics) gave valuable suggestions related to effective implementation of Teaching Learning Process. Dr. Anush Bekal, Head- Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering gave insights on effective attainment analysis and motivated the department to organize more activities like webinars. The faculty members of Dept. of Mechanical Engineering were also present and gave their inputs to enhance the overall OBE implementation in the department.

CSE Dept. organized a Talk on "Project Management"

Project On Jan 22nd, 2022, Saturday, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering in association with Institute Innovation Council, Ministry of Human Resource Development Initiative, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) and Institute of Engineers (IEI) organized a talk on “Project Management” for 3rd Semester CSE, AI & ML and DS Students through Google Meet Platform. Ms. Karishma Alva, Senior Project Analyst, Juego Studios Pvt. Ltd and alumni of CSE Dept was the resource person of the session.
The objective of this talk was to introduce software project management and two important management activities, namely risk management and people management.
Project The key aspects of this presentation are:
• To know the principal tasks of software project managers.
• To introduce the notion of risk management and some of the risks that can arise in software projects.
• To understand the factors that influence personal motivation and what these might mean for software project managers.
• To understand key issues that influence team working, such as team composition, organization, and communication.
With the support of Dr. Pushpalatha K, Head and Prof. Prashanth Duddela of Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering; Prof. Srinivas P M introduced the speaker to the audience; Prof. Harisha, Prof. Kishore Kumar, Prof. Vidya V and Prof. Suhas A Bhyratae jointly coordinated the event.

Electronics & Communication Engineering holds the DAC Meeting

Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) conducted the Department Advisory Committee (DAC) meeting as a part of the regular teaching learning process. It serves as an in-built monitoring scheme within the programme to review the progress in learning from time to time which provides valuable feedback on the design and the implementation of the programme. This periodic exercise helps in forming the values of judgment, educational status, or achievement of student and the department. The DAC is composed of expert members from Industries, eminent academic institutions, senior faculty members of the department as well as alumni and parents. It interacts and maintains liaisons with key stakeholders.
All the members appreciated and congratulated the efforts, achievements and initiatives taken by the department and the institute. They also provided their valuable feedback and insights of the department for the overall preparedness of the autonomous structure which has been recently granted to the institute in November 2021.
