MBA Dept. organized "Decode Your Future", A One-Day Online Student Development Programme for UG Students
Dept. of Business Administration-MBA organized "Decode Your Future", a One-Day Online Student Development Programme on 9th July, 2021 for under graduates studying all over the country.
Sessions were facilitated by three eminent speakers. First session was conducted by Mr. Rami Venkat, NLP Coach & Strategic Sales Consultant, who spoke on the topic “Placements”. He gave insights on Employers perspective and compared it with student’s perspective; he also gave certain general advices on how students could bridge the gap between both the perspectives. He briefed on the required skillsets to grab a job in the current market scenario.
Second Session was engaged by Mr. Renjit Keshav, CEO-ISKEW Learning, on the topic “Entrepreneurship”. He began his session by specifying the qualities of a good entrepreneur and connected it to his journey as an entrepreneur. He also motivated the students to pursue higher education before venturing into business, so that they learn efficient problem-solving tactics. He concluded his session by suggesting the participants to read few books on the journey of an entrepreneur rather than just be fascinated with end results.
Third session was engaged by Dr. Ananth Prabhu, Professor-Sahyadri, Cyber Security and Cyber Law Expert, on the topic “Higher Education”. He addressed the students on relevance of higher education in the current scenario by explaining the Pros and Cons of certain stream of Higher Education. He encouraged the students to take up certification courses to improve their skillsets in becoming job ready. He concluded the session by suggesting various resources available online as well as offline which would support their career and higher education growth.
A total of 1,100 students countrywide had registered for this event.
ISE Dept. organized a Faculty Orientation Program for the newly joined Faculty
Dept. of Information Science & Engineering in association with the IQAC cell of the institute organized an Orientation Program on Outcome Based Education and NBA Process for the newly joined faculty members of the department. The session was handled by Prof. Ganaraj K, NBA/NAAC Coordinator of the Dept. and Prof. Madhura Hegde, NBA Coordinator at the Institute level. They covered topics related to the overview of Outcome Based Education, its importance and benefits, Benefits of NBA accreditation and overall NBA Process.
Mechanical Engineering Faculty complete ICT Mode FDP on “New & Emerging Technology”
Prof. B C Pramod and Prof. Naveen B from the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering completed the ICT Mode Faculty Development Program (FDP) in association with AICTE on “New & Emerging Technology” organized by ARK Infosolutions Pvt. Ltd. using Simulation tools provided by Technology Partner Ansys Software Pvt. Ltd during 28th June 2021 to 2nd July 2021 (1 week).
