ECE Students Clear GATE 2021
Shreyank Rai of Eighth Semester (2021 Batch) and Shashwath Rao of Sixth Semester (2022 Batch) from Electronics & Communication Engineering have cleared the GATE-2021 examination with a score of 350 and 398 respectively.
Er. Rajesh Kumar Rao, Civil Engineering Alumnus recognized as ‘Best Safety Conscious Staff’ by Larsen & Toubro Ltd.
Er. Rajesh Kumar Rao, an alumnus of Civil Engineering Department (2014 - 2018 Batch) was recognized as ‘Best Safety Conscious Staff’ by Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Kanyakumari, Tamilnadu. Rajesh was responsible for the safety at construction site of 12 Project Engineers and 375 laborers working for the construction of a tower structure which was at a height of 20m from ground level. Under his supervision, no first aid case was reported though the entire crew was working under a challenging situation yielding him a prestigious recognition.
CSE faculty participated in the Second PAC meeting organized by Dept. of CSE at SIR MVIT, Bengaluru
Dr. Shreyas Rao participated in the second PAC (Program Assessment Committee) meeting organized by the Dept. of CSE at Sir MVIT, Bengaluru, as an external member. The meeting was conducted on 10th Apr’2021 through the online mode. Detailed VTU syllabus of 4th, 6th, and 8th semester was discussed, and the PAC members gave various suggestions to reduce the Industry-Academia divide and empower the students to learn better.

Similar to
Code Jam, Google’s annual online coding competition, participants will be asked to solve algorithmic challenges over the course of 2.5 hours, in a single-online round. The top 150 participants from the round will receive a VIP ticket to Google I/O and first dibs on some of the most sought after online content; as well as a $100 USD stipend to enhance their viewing experience.
