AVP of Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd visits Sahyadri
Mr. Anil B Sindgi, Assistant Vice-President of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited visited Sahyadri and interacted with Dr. Umesh M Bhushi, Principal and the management staff. He was delighted to take a tour of the institution and had words of praise for the learning oriented infrastructure designed and maintained by the institute. He had high regards for the initiatives taken in Academia-Industry interface as a long-term relationship & bonding since students shall benefit enormously from these connects.
Sahyadrians achieve in VTU Sports Event
Sahyadri Cross Country boys and girls team participated in VTU inter-zone cross country competition held at Kalpatharu Institute of Technology, Tiptur. Shashwath M. R, student of second year Civil Engineering won second place in 12 kilometres cross country race. Girl’s team won overall 1st runners up trophy and the Boy’s team won overall 2nd runners up.
Boys Hockey Team secured third in VTU Mangaluru Zone Tournament
Sahyadri Boys Hockey Team secured third place in VTU Mangaluru Zone inter-collegiate Hockey Tournament held at NMAMIT, Nitte.

 Kshama A, a student of second semester Electronics & Communication Engineering has excelled in sports. She was part of the team which has won 1st place in Handball & 2nd place in Kabaddi District Level tournaments held at Kulai & NITK Surathkal respectively in the year 2010. In addition to this, she has participated in various State Level matches in Kabaddi & Handball.

GSB Premier League 2017 held at Sahyadri Cricket Ground
 GSB Premier League 2017, a two-day event played under floodlight was held at Sahyadri Cricket Ground which had eight teams from the Gowd Saraswath Brahmin (GSB) Community.
 Mr. Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman, Bhandary Foundation was invited as a Chief Guest of the Valedictory Ceremony which concluded with great pomp by felicitating the Winners - GSB Friends Kota and Runners Up - Kodial Super Kings. This event saw emphatic success with big crowd & electric atmosphere during the day & night tournament.
MBAs win 2nd place in Finance & HR Fest at Mangalore University
In line with the MoU signed with Mangalore University, our students of 1st year MBA participated in a Management Fest organised by the university. Varun K and Shreeharsha T won 2nd place in “Alchemist (Finance)” event of Crossroads 2K17 National Level B-School Meet held at Mangalore University.
Shivani Rai and Arpitha won 2nd place in “INIGMA (HR)” event of Crossroads 2K17 National Level B-School Meet held at Mangalore University. It is also worth mentioning that Shivani Rai and Arpitha had recently secured 2nd place in “Head-Hunters (HR)” event of Shreshta 2017 held at SDM PG Centre for Management Studies & Research.
