A research article authored by Mr. Anush Bekal et al., Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics & Communication entitled “Linear Relationship ADC with Complimentary Switch based Bootstrapped Sample and Hold Circuit” has been accepted for publication in International Journal of Electronics (SCI and SCI-E indexed).  Prajwal T Nayak, a student of second semester Civil Engineering is a Volleyball Player. He was part of the team which has won 3rd place in Inter-collegiate State Level Volleyball match held at Madikeri. He has also participated in several competitions held at National Level.

Renowned Academicians visited Sahyadri
Dr. P K Moily, Former Principal (Year 1984-1988) of Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal & Dr. Devaraj K, Director, SDM PG Centre for Management Studies & Research visited Sahyadri and interacted with Dr. Umesh M Bhushi, Principal, Dr. Vishal Samartha, Director, Department of Business Administration & the management staff of our institute. They were taken on a site tour and the innovation labs caught their eye. They were also introduced to other distinct features of our college. The guests were delighted to hear as well as view the success stories of Sahyadri. They were amazed with the achievement of our students at IIT’s and NIT’s. This connect provided opportunities to share good practices, discuss challenges and opportunities, and develop shared learning.
Team Challengers to participate in SAE International competition EAST at Florida, USA
A group of 12 students – Kausthubh P, Rakshith Karumbaiah, Akshay P N, Nanda Kumar, Prabhath Shenoy, Prashabh Jayaprakash, Vikhyath M, Ranjitha H K, Shreenidhi Rai, Shwetha S, Ananya Shetty and Mahadeva from TEAM CHALLENGERS have travelled to United States of America representing Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management at SAE International competition EAST which will be held at Florida, Lakeland during 21st - 23rd April 2017. SAE International is an Aeromodelling competition conducted by Society of Automative Engineers annually which attracts participants from across the globe. During their stay in the US, they will be visiting NASA Space Centre, Florida SPACE Institute and Museums. Sahyadri wishes them Good Luck and May they cross all the hurdles with ease and emerge a winner.

“CodeZilla 2k17" powered by Aptra and Mozilla Club concludes
 
A two-day workshop and coding event for students on python programming ‘Codezilla2k17’, organized by Aptra Technologies and Mozilla Club concluded with lot of excitement and thoughtful insights. Event included hands-on session on python programming for students of our institution and from various other colleges. First place was secured by St. Joseph Engineering College, Mangaluru with a Trophy and Cash Prize of Rs. 10,000 and Second Place was secured by Canara Engineering College, Mangaluru with a Trophy and Cash Prize of Rs. 5,000.
Valedictory ceremony was chaired by Mr. Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman, Bhandary Foundation. Prof. Balakrishna S S, Vice-Principal, Dr. J V Gorbal, Dean Academics, Mr. Rajesh Naidu, Program Director, E-Cell, Mr. Karthik Bhat, Unicourt and Mr. Manjesh P Shetty, Regional Coordinator, Mozilla distributed certificates and Trophy to the winning teams. A total of 150 participants were given certificates and the organizers have acknowledged the facilities provided by Sahyadri in the smooth conduct of the event.
