Training Programme by MBAs at Sri Rama School, Farangipete
MBA students from the 1st year facilitated a Training Programme in Sri Rama School, Farangipete as an Activity Based Training Programme which is a part of Human Resource Management curriculum. From taking approval with the Principal of the school till its execution followed by collating feedback - the entire activity was carried out by our students.
Sessions were held on Health, Cleanliness, Road Safety, and Career. Students of the school gave feedback which shall be treasured as it brings in a sense of accomplishment to our students. Initially, our team had various challenges in executing the programme as they did not get approval due to the Term-End exams; however they convinced the Principal that the sessions shall be beneficial to the students and as assured our team has delivered their best. As a result they have been invited to conduct Development Programmes for the higher sections of the school. Team MBA is now confident to take up greater assignments of this nature & has made memories out of this.
Sahyadrians recruited by QSpiders
QSpiders visited Sahyadri to conduct pool campus recruitment drive for the engineering students of 2017 batch. One hundred and ninety students from pool colleges were part of the recruitment drive, of which twenty three students got selected. Mr. Juned Khan, Business Head, QSpiders accompanied with Mr. Madhu, Technical Head, QSpiders on the recruitment team were at the campus to facilitate the entire recruitment process.

Sahyadri Talent
Puneeth T M, a student of second semester Civil Engineering is multi-talented who has won places in Drawing as well as sports. He has won 2nd place in Drawing Competition at State Level conducted by School India in the Year 2015-16. He has also won 2nd place in JUDO Event at State Level conducted by Department of Pre-University Education (Govt of India). To add to his achievements is the 1st place he secured in Triple Jump at District Level in the year 2014-15.

“CodeZilla 2k17" powered by Aptra and Mozilla Club
 “CodeZilla2k17” workshop and coding contest organized by Mozilla club and Aptra Technologies was inaugurated by Dr. Umesh M Bhushi, Principal in Sahyadri Campus. Mr. Balakrishna S S, Vice-Principal, Dr. J V Gorbal, Dean Academics, Mr. Raghupathi Siddoji, Incharge - Aptra Technologies, Mr. Abhiram R, Tech speaker from Mozilla , Mr. Karthik Bhat, Resource Person , Mr. Manjesh P Shetty, Regional Co-ordinator, Mozilla were present during the occasion.
This event has been organized for two days. On the Day 1 Hands-On session was conducted and Day 2 would see coding contest scheduled for students. Total of 150 students from all over Mangaluru participated in the event.
Dr. Vivek Modi talks on “Character & Career” to the MBA students
Dr. Vivek Modi, a qualified doctor (MBBS) with Post Graduate Diploma in Administration and a certified trainer addressed the 1st year MBA students on “Character & Career”. In his talk, he reiterated on the importance of blending character with career at workplace.
He quoted an inspirational story of Arunima Sinha, the first female amputee to climb Mount Everest. He also emphasised on self-belief, never give up attitude and respect to own self. It’s not the profession, college or education that makes us great, but it is how good we are in that profession that makes us great or successful. He mentioned that goals are intangible & if we don’t believe in them we can’t achieve them. Self belief is the key to reach our goal and there is no limit for it which fostered thoroughly can assist in reaching any destination of life’s journey.
