Team Challengers secure positions in SAE International Aeromodelling West 2019 event held in USA

Team Challengers participated in the Three-Day International level Competition named "SAE International Aeromodelling West 2019" at Apollo 11 Field, Woodley Ave, California, USA. The time comprised of Meghana N Shetty from 3rd Year Electronics & Communication Engineering and Roshan, Shreenidhi and Harshan from 1st year Engineering. There were a total of 75 teams from all over the world who participated in the event and Team Challenges has secured 5th position in Oral presentation and 9th position in Overall performance globally.

Sahyadri initiates signature campaign for voter awareness

In order to encourage first time voters to take active part in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Sahyadri College NSS unit initiated a unique way to educate and stimulate the students and staff to vote by launching the signature campaign at the college campus where the students and staff pledge to vote by signing. This Two-Day campaign aims to encourage the maximum number of students to vote.

Mozilla Workshop at Sahyadri

‘Step to the new World!’ Workshop was successfully conducted by Mozilla Club Sahyadri. The workshop made students experience to build VR by their own and experience the heights of AR. They were given the exposure to the Mixed Reality that is adding more colours in our life. The Club also recruited its new members for its Domains

Introduction of Mentor:
Mr. Balaji N. is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Science and Engineering. He is also a faculty of Industry Connect Training (ICT) courses. He pursued MCA from DOS in Computer Science, Manasagangothri, University of Mysore; M. Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering from IIT-Madras, Chennai. He has 6.5 years of teaching experience which includes two years of research experience. His area of research includes Data Structures and Algorithms, Discrete Mathematical Structures and Combinatorics, Information Retrieval in Domain Specific Ontologies, Data Mining and Machine Learning. He has published research articles in IEEE and other journals and conferences.

• Shivani S. is from Mangaluru. She pursued her high school from Ladyhill Victoria Girl’s High School, and PUC from Canara Pre-University College, Mangaluru. Her hobbies include cooking and gardening. She is interested in problem solving techniques in current problems using advanced technique.
• Palika P. Shetty is from Udupi. She pursued her high school from SVK English Medium School, Katapady and PUC from MGM PU College, Udupi. Her hobbies include reading novels, analyzing a problem for better solution. She aspires to work in the area of research and development in recent trend and technology.
• Kottari Soujanya Dinesh is from Mangaluru. She pursued her high school from Bharathi English Medium School, and PUC from Mahesh PU College, Mangaluru. Her hobbies include reading and playing games. She has participated in the event “Innovision – 2017” at NIT Rourkela and secured second place. She aspires to be a good software engineer in the field of Information Technology.
• Deepthi B.S. is from Mangaluru. She pursued her high school from Canara Girl’s High School, and PUC from Sharada PU College, Mangaluru. She has participated in the event “SIP Project – 2017” at NIT Kurukshetra. Her hobbies include playing throw ball. She won first prize in Bangalore Zone at VTU level. She aspires to be a good sports player at the national level.
• S.N. Pradyumna Rao is from Udupi. He pursued his high school from Poorna Prajna High School, Admar and PUC from Poorna Prajna PU College, Udupi. His hobbies include playing games and rendering services in the temple. He aspires to work with Amazon.
• Adnan Shaikh is from Mangaluru. He pursued his high school from Beary’s Public School, and PUC from Milagres PU College, Mangaluru. He participated in the event “AARUSH” at SRM Institute of Science and Technology and won third place. He aspires to clear GATE exam and join IIT for his masters.
• Swathi R. Duvadiga is from Mangaluru. She pursued her high school from St. Gerosa High School, and PUC from St. Agnes PU College, Mangaluru. Her hobbies include painting and dancing. She has participated in a technical event held at NIT Jamshedpur. She aspires to work with PSUs and try to solve real world problems in the society.
